and I was put on a beta blocker from that point on.. as to stop the palps and control the b.p. / the Toprol xl and diovan both lowered b.p well and stopped the palps for me.. but iv been living life in pain and suffering for 6years now.. as the side effects from toprol and diovan are very harsh for me! I cant understand why a Doctor would go backwords and put me back on a medication that caused me problems before? seems strange to me !

Lisinpril can cause a chronic cough and you should stop this medication to see how the cough changes. It may be replaced with valsartan or candesartan which do not usually cause this side effect. Hello.....I hope someone can relate with all of this.....cause I am tired of being sick & tired! First off I guess I'd like to give a little background. Starting in October 2007 my family has been hit with some pretty hard blows. 2 deaths, aunt's cancer came back, my grandma (who practically raised me) was diagnosed with breast cancer (she had a mastectomy & is recovering quite well). I had a miscarriage on 3/9 & had a DNC on 3/11.

Lots of water and or gatorade for the dehydration. For the constipation try eating bananas or alot of fruit it helped me.

I'm a 25 year old female and have been suffering with constipation for as long as I can remember and have just been coping with it. t have any problems with constipation...rather a little the other way, but I do eat lots of fruit, veggies plus wholemeal bread and also lots of nuts. I decided to have colonic irrigation and this just stirred things up far worse, to the point of excruciating pain and a visit to Emergency! Eating anything can irritate my stomach and blow it up to at least 4mths preg looking! Lots of pain and even after taking the entire preparation used for people having colonoscopies, I have had little relief. My xray showed a large volume of faeces throughout my entire colon.

As long as fiber is combined with plenty of extra water, with five or six glasses daily being fine, the bowels WILL move under normal constipation circumstances, and under medicine-induced constipation, as long as some way of making the bowels move is used, then fiber is not the enemy. Actually, pain-killers don't ONLY slow bowel movement, but primarily they are drying in their effect, hence the sensation of "dry mouth." This is why water is so important.

Can you treat the symptom of constipation? A cup of grape juice works for my son but there are stool softeners and other tricks to keep things moving. But the issue of vagus nerve problems is such that you should follow up. If you do indeed have weakness, they may do nerve therapy? But many who have that also have issues with their heart and other areas. Any other symptoms?
