Are you taking Flomax for prostate issues? Flomax works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder and prostate, which leads to improved flow of urine and fewer symptoms of BPH. I am also supplementing since several years with the usual set of herbal remedies for an healthy prostate (saw palmetto, stinging nettle, pigeum, ….), antioxidants and found benefits in my IPSS score. I told him I wanted to try natural herbs like saw palmetto, beta sitosterol and other herbs for the prostate. He said the medication he is giving me is way stronger than those and keep taking the medication. My question is if I get off these meds and use natural herbs that have a proven track record would I have problems with my prostate getting enlarged again and end up getting urinary retention again? There are many products out there today like Ultra Prostate Formula that work.
saw palmetto was tried in the late 90's for benign prostate enlargement, and the results were rather mixed. Then Proscar came along and pretty much ended that debate. Saw Palmetto has faded into the background - it's possible you affected your DHT levels, but it will definitely only be temporary. I quit Proscar for that reason, best not to fool around with sex hormone levels, in my opinion.
Hi there, i'm 19 years old and I took saw palmetto for about 5 days because it is known to increase sex drive and help with erectile function. After 5 days of use, it lowered sex drive and made my erectile dysfunction way worse. I just need to know if this is at all permanent. Has anyone else had experiences with this? I only took it for 5 days so im not as worried but I just dont know at this point. Any help is really appreciated.

A doctor prescribed Amoxicillin 625mg + Tamsulosin medicine for 10 days to me. I have a side effect after taking Tamsulosin (Retrograde ejaculation) or any other ejaculation problem.
Is this normal or should I stop using Tamsulosin?
Or will it (Retrograde ejaculation ) recover after stop using ten days?
Should I keep getting Tamsulosin for 10 days or stop?
Its 25hrs since I took the last half 80mg oxycontin pill. I have not taken the saw palmetto and have been going to bathroom constantly and even for small amounts of urine. It's a little frustrating getting up everytime each night to go to the bathroom but I know it gives me exercise at least.
I have a whole slew of vitamins and I do have a question. 5htp has helped me in the past, but this time I have DLPA, L-tyrosine, L-theanine, Valerian Root, and St. Johns Wart.

In a report published in 2000, researchers reviewed 11 clinical trials and concluded that treatment with saw palmetto extract can help improve peak urinary flow rate and reduce patients' need to awake at night in order to urinate. However, a research review from 2009 deemed saw palmetto no more effective than placebo for treatment of BPH-related urinary symptoms.
It's possibly age related, but I'd also google Saw Palmetto to see if there is any indication that it affects erections. If no hint there, talk to your doctor.
see I suppose I forget that distinction as well..cockroaches I *can* handle...german roaches are awful because they're so pervasive, but regular cockroaches are just gross and annoying.
palmetto bugs are like creatures from my nightmares. Living in sub-tropical Florida, but in the woodsy part of it...we have palmetto bugs like most people have...i dunno...dust mites, lol. They're huge. they're disgusting, and they have no freaking fear. they'll stare you down.
Hi i experience frequent urination urge and urine retention and tamsulosin quite help me but symptoms still persist.
