A doctor prescribed Amoxicillin 625mg + Tamsulosin medicine for 10 days to me. I have a side effect after taking Tamsulosin (Retrograde ejaculation) or any other ejaculation problem.
Is this normal or should I stop using Tamsulosin?
Or will it (Retrograde ejaculation ) recover after stop using ten days?

3 days ago i started seeing actual blood in my urine, at he beginning of the action (peeing). I saw it one more time that day at the end of that day and since then every day, about 2-3 times a day either at the beginning or at the end of peeing. The rest of the time I did not notice red blood but urine was a bit colored so it could have been present.. I am also seeing occasionally little blood cloths. I have no pain anywhere nor problems urinating.
i would like ask u it is a side effect of tamsulosin .it is tempreroy or it will b permanent, how many days i should b take this medicine.
I would tell your doctor. In animal models, it was shown to affect testes size and shape. It very well could be the flomax. But worth it to reduce the prostate. Any ejaculation issues?
ve been on sertralin(Zoloft),piroxicam(feldine)blood pressure med.and in the last 5 months tamsulosin. Could any of these medications be any part of my problem?

I had agressive treatment with a combination of external radiation and Brachytherapy. I now on Uromax tablets (Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 0.4 mg) which is causing me severe pain when ejaculating. Please advice if there is anything I can as I am still very young.
The urologist then did a cystoscopy and found lots of inflammation and scare tissue and of course urine, biopsy came back fine, urine came back as infection and was put on doxycycl hyc 100mg. So now to my question, the urologist wants me to take two medications - generic names are tamsulosin 0.4mg and meloxicam 15mg.
This problem is usually treated with the use of oral analgesics(pain killers) and tamsulosin is thought to play an important role in the relief of the pain and unfortunately how tamsulosin produces a relief is also not known.

I am on tamsulosin because of urine retention. Unfortunately it has started working in the wrong direction. Now when I have to urinate I need to go right away or I leak. This happened several years ago when I was on Flomax so I quit and I’m going to quit again.

At 65 I was told I was "late" in getting BPH, but as anyone knows, better late but not better than never with this one. Anyway, I have tried Epsom Salt baths and UrinoZinc, as I did not like Tamsulosin at all. It made my breathing labored, and I don't like the idea of Retrograde Ejaculation. I have had painful external orgasms and urination, and although my enlargement is not that bad-the Urologist told me it was .5 and had others at 1 and 1.
m interested in hearing from anybody who has had similar symptoms, or a similar course of action before getting a diagnosis. I have never really heard of tinnitis or vertigo being symptoms of MS, and those are the main reasons I even started pursuing medical help to begin with. The doctors have ruled out some explanations (like the acoustic neuroma), but there are still other possibilities on the table (Meniere's disease, or even high blood pressure for example).

I have a scheduled visit with my urologist next week to check for PVR (600ml was really too high) and the effect of tamsulosin. I would like to ask to check for a small infection (a urine culture first and, if prescribed, a cycle of antibiotics). I noticed a small increase of WCB count and hs-CRP signaling some inflammation. IGF-1 can also be due to a high protein intake which I need to look at. DHT is still in the ref range but has a 172% increase compared to one year ago.

Well your words do offer some help in understanding. Some of the research I've done suggests that it is common for the lower end of the stent to rest on top of the prostate (which is involved with the ejaculation process as well). I know I am having a hell of a time with constipation as well. So maybe the stent is pinching that area and causing the "backfiring" that you are talking about.
Pain initially began as irritated foreskin. It was chronically sore and hurt. Seemed like it was always raw. From there, I experienced burning when ejaculating and sometimes peeing. This started over a year ago. Urologist took urine test/bacterial culture which was normal. No stds present. We tried tamsulosin which I stopped because I couldn't tell if it was doing anything (took for a couple weeks). He said I could try an oral anti fungal or some sort of antibiotic next if I wanted.
