30 weeks pregnant, has anyone ever took tamiflu while pregnant? Any side affects to you or your child after birth?
I am 5 weeks pregnant with my 3RD baby. I came down with a cold on Thursday. My cough is horrible and I have been running fevers a lot. I called my OB and she called in a RX for tamiflu. I've never been on it before but she assured me that it was safe. She said my cough may turn into pneumonia or bronchitis and that may be worse then taking the meds. I never went thru this with my boys so I'm a little unsure. I did research and it seems safe. What are others opinion on this.
I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and just found out I have the flu. My OB put me on Tamiflu but my primary said she wasn't sure about it. Has anyone been on this while pregnant? I'm worried it's going to hurt the baby. Also it did get the flu vaccine, I was only a couple weeks pregnant so I didn't know but I'm a little mad they push a vaccine that obviously doesn't work.
told us that he was not eleigible to recieve a prescription for Tamiflu. Where can I find any federal or state restictions for eleigibility.
Yes I took tamiflu when I was pregnant with my son it's on the lowest scale for harming you or the baby. In other words its safe.
My OB called me and told me that as a prevention she wanted to put me on Tamiflu which is not recommended for pregnant women because the side effects are unknown. She said that the benefits would outweigh the negatives most likely because there have already been deaths linked to this strain of flu. The pharmacist didn't seem worried because I am 18 weeks along. Any of you ladies been put on tamiflu? Should I trust my doctor and pharmacist?
Get to a doctor and get a tamiflu prescription asap if you test positive. It took me almost a month to recover.
Hi po.. Newbie here.. my flight for UAE will be next month na po and wanna try my luck to look for a job in UAE. Ang pinag woworry ko lang po ay madeport incase na malaman nila na may hepa ako. Ngbabasa ako ng mga articles sa net at nakita ko na fr 6categories lang kasama ang test for hepab example mga nannies, waitress, babysitter and etc... Is it true po ba??? All expat residents in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and other UAE emirates are required to go for a series of health and medical checks as part of their UAE residence visa application process. They must do the tests in the UAE at a government medical facility, not a private one. Results from tests done in other countries are not accepted. If an HIV/AIDS medical screening test is positive then the residence visa application is denied and the person is deported.
For the last four days I been having flu like symtoms (fever, night sweats, body aches) , seen the dr. and he perscribed TAMIFLU. In what time frame would someone infected see symptoms if any at all?
2. Would you suggest testing and if so what test would be the correct test at 9 weeks. Would TAMIFLU affect the result?
I was diagnosed with influenza on sunday in the er and the doctor prescribed me with tamiflu 75mg but I'm worried about my baby getting harmed by the medication because I'm only 14 weeks...any comments or recommendations???
Tamiflu is in no way safe during pregnancy. The risks outweigh the benefits I'm pretty sure.its class c. I had flu last January 7 months pregnant and they couldn't give me anything. But tell me to stay hydrated!!

Dear Dr. I am an indian working in UAE. I have six encounter with chinese prostitute in UAE. And one of them I made oral sex and kissing also. I now develope a flu like symptoms. my last encounter was before one month. Now I am feeling rash on my body. and also sore throat. white paches in my mouth. Also I am having pain in my neck. I am very much worried and I am feeling extremely depressed and anxiety kills me. As I am working in UAE I cannot take a confidential elisa test.
My husband and MIL had the flu over Christmas, but I had a flu shot and was fine. You can take Tamiflu while pregnant if you do get the flu.
Hi i had sex with a sex worker shes frm russia and i am an Indian we stay in UAE although we hve had sex 4 times bfre it was always protected she does even give oral sex wid out condom and wouldn ever allow me to have sex (vaginal) without a condom,as we keep exchngin text messages etc! I have been so miserable for a whole week now. There is no relief and at times I feel like I'm dying. This might sound dramatic but I am serious my nose runs like a faucet I cannot breathe through it my TEETH hurt so bad I can't chew a banana. My throat and mouth are on fire because of all the mouth breathing and the aches pains and chills are enough to send me up the wall! I have never had the flu before but I wouldn't wish this on Hitler!
how come you were declared unfit for the job in KSA. In UAE the law has bene changed since Aug that they only test hep B for six catagories especially if you are food handler otherwise you are allowed to wrok.
i dont know what is the law in KSA??
t realize how sick I had gotten and it turned into pneumonia. I was hospitalized for 9 days with it.
