strattera

Avatar f tn Im thinking it was the benzo withdrawal but I have no experience with that either so Idk. Also, with wellbutrin I dont have the heart rate just feel sleepy and foggy mind. Any help would be appreciated and forgive any typos. I'm on my phone.
Avatar f tn i was diagnosed with add in highschool and put on vyvanse for about a year (my parents thought i was too young to be taking stimulants so they took me off it). it worked amazingly with focus and keeping my racing thoughts organized. from the time i dropped out of school to now i basically have always been taking opiates whether it was pain killers or since i’ve been on suboxone.

Avatar n tn I have been on Pristiq 100mg for 3 months, Wellbutrin 150mg for 5 weeks and we added Strattera 40mg. Pristiq for PMDD, Wellbutrin for motivation and Strattera for focus. Separately they help each thing only. So was wondering if anyone else is on a combo like this and it’s helped. And how long. I seem to be anxious more lately before adding Strattera....hoping this helps it. No libido what so ever.
Avatar n tn I have never taken buspar but i have taken wellbutrin and it worked quite well for me it has a component that helps with concentration. I know that both buspar and wellbutrin have been used to help people quit smoking so i believe they are along the same lines i know that i have used wellbutrin alone and with ritalin and in both instances i noticed a great improvement in my concentration ability. Not sure if this helps but just wanted to share this information with you.
1063332 tn?1254751034 Just wondering if anyone out there has had such a large cocktail to remain stable and if anyone knows if adding a lower dose of strattera and a small dose of cymbalta to the mix would cause trouble. I admit I have been taking the 40 mg of strattera every other day even though pdoc switched me to vyvanse. Am taking that as well but just makes me a little moody when it wears off. (as did adderall).
889551 tn?1416184483 Hi! I was diagnosed with ADD recently and I'm waiting to get back in to see my psychiatrist. My last office visit we spoke about the possible medications I could choose from if I completed ADD testing with another Psych. He mentioned Strattera (but he said he didn't feel that it worked), Adderall, and Ritalin. I'm currently on abilify and wellbutrin for depression and these meds, along with adderall and ritalin lower the seizure threshold.
Avatar n tn I am an eighteen-year-old girl, who was diagnosed with depression and started taking wellbutrin about 2-3 years ago. When I started taking it, I was very suicidal and depressed. Eventually, the drugs kicked in and i was fine, the best ive been in my life. I was like that for a few months, before I began to feel very weird. This might be due to the fact that I didn't take the wellbutrin very regularly.
Avatar f tn A combined analysis of 12 studies of Strattera showed that in children and teens this risk was 0.4% for those taking Strattera compared to none for those taking a sugar pill. A similar analysis in adults treated with Strattera did not reveal an increased risk of suicidal thoughts. Call your doctor right away if your child has thoughts of suicide or sudden changes in mood or behavior, especially at the beginning of treatment or after a change in dose.
Avatar m tn * Nonstimulant medication, such as the antidepressant bupropion (Wellbutrin and generic) or atomoxetine (Strattera), which is not available as a generic.
7420684 tn?1391039029 I have tried Prozac, effexor, zoloft, and wellbutrin that I recall. I have not had much luck with any of them. I have tried vyvanse for my ADD and I would hyperfocus on it and when it wore off late afternoon to early evening I would get super depressed. It helped my Social Anxiety ironically. I also tried Strattera for a week but due to my wariness with antidepressants didn't give it a chance. I was thinking about trying wellbutrin or strattera again...Thoughts? Suggestions?
Avatar n tn We were able to wean off of the Prevacid and just stick to Strattera, as our peds thinks the Strattera helps him with the anxiety related to the GERD, and therefore he had no complaints of symptoms of GERD. In March we went off of the Strattera, and within 4 weeks the symptoms of GERD re-appeared ( Not eating, coughing, feeling like something is caught in his throat.) We went back on Strattera and Prevacid.
Avatar n tn The Adderal XR was effective at combating my ADHD symptoms but made my anxiety worse, so my doctor prescribed Strattera. I found the Strattera to be not nearly as effective as Adderal XR, so without consulting my doctor, I began taking both medications together. This is working extraordinarily well. The Strattera seems to ease my anxiety while slightly reducing ADHD symptoms and the Adderal XR nearly eliminates the remaining ADHD symptoms.
Avatar f tn ve worked for in that time. And be miserable without working out. Would taking a klonopin with the strattera in the am help eleviate those symptoms? My pharamist thinks my blood pressure is getting to high. Would a klonopin combat that so I can at least perform at 100%?
990354 tn?1307132886 hey ali! congrats on quiting opiates back in April!! How has it been? The reason i ask is cause i am going on a month and a week sober from opiates! since november 17th!! I am a pretty knowledgeable when it comes to 2 things. Meds and History. I have had ADD my whole life. I took ritilan in 4th grade only. My mom took me off of it before i started 5th grade. Avatar n tn My son has ODD without ADHD, he has been taking a very small dossage of Topamax for over a year ( has help him loose and control his oerweight problems, but has not really help with his oposition or horrible mood swings) and now the Dr. recomendned Strattera, I´m very concern with the side efects. What should I do?
Avatar m tn Lexapro, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, Effexor, Cymbalta, EMSAM, Savella, Strattera, Abilify, Prozac, Pristiq, Provigil, Neurontin I'm now on: Vyvanse, Buspar, Aplenzin. I've also suffered from sinus problems during all of this. I've had sinus surgery but I still wake up congested, and have a loss of smell.
Avatar f tn As he was grew up we tried different meds for short periods, but the adderall made his tics worse, the strattera did not do anything ( we recently just tried strattera agan for the recommended time and dosage), in the past 1.5 years he has been involved with pot (it helps his tics) and then moved on to meth. He said he was very focused on the meth and it did not bother his tics. I am completely puzzeled how adderall could have bothered his tics and on meth did not?????
Avatar f tn My son developed Raynard's Phenomen after taking Strattera. Weaning him down on the dosage reduced the symptoms. His hands otherwise where blue, white, and cold through out the day. He had a reaction from the stimulants and can not take them. HAs anyone used accupuncture for controlling ADD symptoms?
Avatar f tn 4) Have read a little on Wellbutrin...is this a possible combo with Intuniv and how well does it work with the hyperactivity and attention? Thank you...
Avatar f tn To make a long story short- I had been on wellbutrin, zoloft and strattera for like 25 years before deciding in may to go off cold TURKEY. Bad decision. And in August I had a panic attack out of the blue and that's when I got back on the 3 medications. Unfortunately, it has been one side effect after another since increasing wellbutrin and zoloft dosage. First, brain fog. Then vision problems. Then derealization. Talk about a cascade of garbage!
Avatar n tn hey i've been taking strattrea 25mg for 1 week 40 for 1 week 60 for 2 weeks now my dosage has been increased to 80 i really want this to work...i feel tired all the time how much longer should it take for the effects to kick in?
Avatar n tn I am an over 35 Adult female with ADHD. I have been taking Strattera for several years. It wasn't until my aggressive behavior and anger was announced to me by my husband as being a problem that I sought help with counceling and with my primary care Doctor. The first thing my Doctor said to me was that Strattera was known to cause heightened aggression and mood swings. He also said that due to the fact that I am super-sensitive to any medication it could make it much worse. Is this possible?
Avatar m tn He needs to know what is going on. Also, he should be experienced with his patients using strattera, so should be able to tell you, what to expect. Good luck!
