Avatar f tn Can tacrolimus eye drops and Cyclosporine ointment cause cancer in dogs? My precious dog, baby and best friend was diagnosed just last week with Transitional Cell Carcinoma in his bladder. It is a rapid growing cancer. Avatar m tn I was a bit put off by the price at first (the optho wanted $2400 for just the one eye, and still a lifetime of tacrolimus for the right). I live in Canada and our vets are for some reason way over priced. I did find one in Michigan that is able to do the surgery for $920. I've gone to see them and they seem competent, doing about 1 of these surgeries per month. Apparently it's quite common. They did give me some interesting info that her regular optho never bothered to share with me.
Avatar f tn Hello, About a month ago I noticed red bumps on the side of my scrotum and they also started to appear in my inner thigh as well. I used hydrocortisone cream and it the bumps seemed to get better but what I'm left with now is my entire scrotum and penis are red and a bit sensitive to touch. It's not alot of pain and no itching at all and I have no raised bumps or rash. The skin has just turned red.

Not only am I curious to find out what active ingredient in the ointment is effective against the inflammation, more importantly, I wonder about the negative side affects, if any, of prolonged antibiotic use.

Avatar m tn Another Dermatologist thought my immune system caused the reaction and prescribed Tacrolimus ointment...told me to put it on until the color came back. I did that for 3 months and didn't notice any significant change....only occasional peeling of the skin next to the head of my penis! Is there ANYTHING that will fix my skin?
1006035 tn?1485575897 We are in the process of transitioning an autism assistance dog into our family for our DD. He recently started having discharge from his eyes and they looked pretty irritated. I brought him to the vet and they said it was definitely pink eye and gave him some eye ointment. I find it so odd to put ointment in an eye...he doesn't seem to care though. Do you think he'll have allergies like this every year? He is a 2 year old labradoodle.
