1327431 tn?1327072104 There is no normal range with thyroid, every person has an optimal range where the have no symptoms, the problem today with thyroid is that many mds still use an old reference range for TSH as an example, some go by .05 to 5.5, some 0.4 to 4.5 and the better one use .03 to 3.
Avatar f tn m worried that the laser might have burned my skin. Dose anybody knows if this is normal or I should stop laser hair removal treatment?
Avatar m tn The specialist reviewed all of the options with us - cyclosporine, pilocarpine or tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said that very rarely has she seen any dog respond to cyclosporine after not responding to tacrolimus. She also said that because our dog doesn't have a dry, goopy nose, that pilocarpine wouldn't be a first choice. She recommended a mix of tacrolimus with sirolimus. She said sirolimus is new. I have not been able to find anything about this drug on the internet.
9038886 tn?1402125726 This app is always telling me that my weight is "below normal range" and i hate it!!!! It makes me feel bad. I eat healthy and i feel like I finally got my appetite back and started gaining some weight.
Avatar f tn First of all what symptoms are you having? Second "simply being within range" for your FT3 and FT4 is NOT sufficient for many people. Similarly many people are clearly Hypo and need medicine when their TSH is even over 1.0. The reference ranges are FAR too broad. And many people find that in order to feell well lthey need to keep their FT4 levels at the MIDDLE of the range if not even slightly higher AND (that means in addition to) their FT3 must be in the UPPER 1/3 of the range.
Avatar f tn I believe the normal range is anything under 5. The scale is 1-10. Anything under 5 is within in normal range. Mine was at 7.4 before surgery. Doctor's usually use this just as a point of reference because so many other things can cause an elevated result. Very similar to the CA-125 test that way. Hope this helps...not a doctor just remember how hard I tried to find answers to the same question!
Avatar n tn I am having a wide range of symptoms...but the doctor's can't seem to figure out what is wrong. So I will list my symptoms here in hopes of hearing some good news. 1) Beginning of January I began to notice a rash the started on the corona and extended to the head (glands) of my penis. I am circumcised. These bumps also scatter throughout the entire head and sometimes get red and swollen. The urologist said that this is normal, yet I find that hard to believe.
Avatar m tn His cretanine is almost 1.4 or around. My question is that should he continue his TACROLIMUS tablets or should switch to some other tablets which are safe for kidneys? Secondly , in my sorrounding there is an opinion that lowering the TACROLIMUS dose also let the liver enzymes to increase? Do you favour such opinions as my father has lowered his tacrolimus dose to keep his kidneys safe? Sir ,will wait for your kind reply. Thanks.
Avatar n tn s hard to perform my job or other daily tasks when my eyelids are so inflamed. I guess steroids are the only option until they develop something better. Is Tacrolimus a promising nonsteroidal option?
Avatar n tn there are prograf assistance programs that the company offers. If this is not feasible than using other cheaper medications such as verapamil for example for HTN for example will alllow much lower doses of prograf to be used (it delays metabolism of the medication) and thus it comes out cheaper.
Avatar f tn AS I HAVE SUFFERED BREATHLESSNESS AND WALKING PROBLEMS,I HAVE BEEN TAKEN OFF TACROLIMUS AND PUT ON NEORAL-YET THERE IS NO IMPROVEMENT IN MY CONDITION.IS THERE ANY OTHER ANTI REJECTION DRUG THAT YOU WOULD RECOMMEND (I HAVE HAD A LIVER TRANSPLANT RECENTLY)? IN YOUR EXPERIENCE,CAN MY SITUATION BE IMPROVED?THANKS.
Avatar n tn Your Tacrolimus test or which ever immuno suppressant you are on should state if you are in or out of range. Good Luck.
Avatar f tn Hi all, I went to the dr today finally because I have been experiencing heart palpitations, anxiety (for no actual reason), and insomnia. She wanted to test my thyroid and I got my results online and I'm not too sure how to decipher them (until she calls me when she goes over them) She tested my tsh and my free t4 My tsh was 1.9 and my free t4 was 14 While they are both "in range", to my understanding hyperthyroidism is when tsh and low and t4 is high.
Avatar n tn Normal readings are different for everyone. I fell into the normal range and NORMAL wasnt working for me. My body needs to be slightly hyper, SLIGHTLY to make me feel good. I have a Dr that listens to my symptoms and not my numbers!! I feel good at a 1!
Avatar m tn With a TSH of 6.1, you most likely are hypo. You need to know first what your Free T3 and Free T4 are -- do make sure they are Free, not total, as those are obsolete and of limited use. In addition, don't ever settle for having them tell you, your results are "normal". Always insist on getting a copy of the lab report for your files. You can mark on it how you felt at that time and it will help you keep a running record.
640719 tn?1277140030 If you need some ammunition in that fight, you might get some use from this email that I sent to the ATA several times. After having gone through years of not being treated for hypothyroidism, because my TSH was 4.97 and thus "normal", I was very pleased to note that the AACE had finally recognized that the range was incorrectly determined. After removing some suspect hypo patients' data, and recalculating the range, they recommended it be lowered and narrowed to .3-3.0.
Avatar f tn I had my 6 month blood draw yesterday and the receptionist just called to say I was in the normal range. She said my TSH was 2.41 and that normal ranges were from .05-4. With a TSH of 2.41 should I be feeling symptomatic, fatigue mainly.
Avatar f tn Good to hear. Are you on thyroid meds, or was this just routine testing?
Avatar m tn ultrasound came back fine and repeat blood work ast alt went back to normal after increasing immunosuppressants slightly. Hepatitis checks non-reactive. Recently I have had a bad cold with muscle/back/neck and pain and stomach reflux. My GGT /AST/ALT have raised again higher to 130/210/95. I am now feeling better since those labs and have been eating again and getting back into work/routine after a few days out. Any suggestion as to possibilities in this rise then normal then rise again?
