Common Questions and Answers about Symptoms of hormone imbalance quiz

hormone

Avatar f tn m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
Avatar f tn If you have an Implanon and are getting a lot of symptoms that sound hormonally related, one thing to do is to remove the Implanon and go on another form of birth control that doesn't involve hormones (such as condoms and foam or an IUD), to let your body go back to its normal hormone cycles. Do this for two or three months and see if your cycles regulate, and how you feel. Keep a journal, it will help you see patterns. Then see how you're doing with the symptoms you list.
Avatar n tn I am starting to think I may be suffering from a hormone imbalance as my symptoms seem to go when I start my period. I also suffer from inability to sleep, mood swings cyclical depression, facial hair, hot flushes as well as cold and irregular periods, I am now having 2 periods a month, one really light and short and one a week later that is pretty severe....
Avatar f tn 1mg patch for several years with no problems. Lately, I have been having symptoms of low estrogen like hot flashes. Unfortunately, my gyn oncologist has retired so I have been seeing my regular ob for my yearly follow up. When I mentioned this to him at my last exam he basically told me unfortunately I am on the highest patch dose and he does not want me to take oral estrogen since there are higher risks so nothing he could do.
Avatar f tn m curious if anyone has experience with hormone imbalance (HI) related to perimenopause, and if the sometimes erratic symptoms of HI could include the symptoms I've described? Thanks!

Avatar f tn I think they can. I had a lot of problems with my OCD when I was pregnant and of course there are a lot of hormonal changes going on. Also stress makes my OCD worse as well. What intrusive thoughts are you having?
1134902 tn?1296066144 anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to have sex when you got out off a hospital for hormone imbalance about 8 day and they put you on birth control or do you wait
Avatar n tn If you have a hormone imbalance, can it make your birth control less effective? I haven't been able to find much info on this but I suspect I have a hormonal imbalance due to the pill so I was wondering if that could mean the pill would be less effective against pregnancy.
Avatar f tn Hi im 18 can my GP offer a hormone test as i feel i have a hormone balance or is this something you have to buy like a kit (i also have an under active thyroid)
Avatar f tn Your doctor should do some extensive hormone testing on you to get to the bottom of all of this. What you are describing sounds so much like hormone imbalance. I know there is a blood test out there (hormone related) to see how close you are to menopause. I really feel for you so don't feel alone. I go through a lot of what you are describing and I know, in my case that it is my hormones.
Avatar f tn As I've mentioned in my previous post, I have the strong feeling that I have a hormone imbalance. For 3 years, I've been overemotional/irritable/nervous, have had light/skipped periods, persistent acne,(I'm 20 and I don't feel like this should be happening), and hot flashes. These problems have gotten progressively worse over the years. The problem is though, that I feel like I have the symptoms of both estrogen dominance and estrogen deficiency.
Avatar f tn Hello, These symptoms can be due hormonal imbalance or hyperhidrosis. Get your blood sugar and thyroid hormone levels checked. If the symptoms persist then chronic infections by getting a complete blood profile and a hormonal profile needs to be done. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.
Avatar n tn Hello, Causes of post menopausal bleeding could be ovarian cysts, endometriosis, diseases of pituitary gland, hormonal imbalance of estrogen and progesterone, thyroid hormone imbalance, cervicitis and cervical cancer. Your doctor may consider tests like blood sugar levels, thyroid function test, prolactin, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSA), estrogen, and testosterone. Imaging studies, such as ultrasound, X-ray, and CT scan or MRI brain may also be recommended in certain individuals.

222417 tn?1241564300 What exactly is a chemical imbalance in the brain? And can a test be done to actually see this imbalance. Thanks To anyone who can answer.
Avatar m tn Well, I'm rather of the same mind as amish............they gave me that horrid stuff back in 1982 when my cervix wasn't dilating and if I thought my labor pains were bad BEFORE..........that stuff cranked them to maximum overdrive and literally made me scream in pain. I can't begin to imagine what snorting it up your nose would do. Perhaps make your nose bigger? Sorry, I realize this is a serious question you're asking and I don't know the answer to it.
Avatar n tn Hello, 19 years old. I may be posting in the wrong section but I thought I'd give it a shot. I am at a great weight for my height (154 lb, 5'9") , over all healthy and happy. In October of 2019, I was standing in my kitchen and suddenly needed to sit down; not like dizziness but I felt very out of it. I figured I had too much coffee and went to sleep. However, I woke up the next morning and still felt that way.
Avatar f tn ve been on the pill for nearly ten years, and a lot of things can cause a hormone imbalance from the water you drink to the things you eat to the pill itself, I learned. Anyway, that hormaone imbalance eventually managed to mess with my birth control and now my husband and I are pregnant, which we're delighted and surprised, but basically just be careful if you're on birth control because it doesn't always work, especially if you have a hormone imbalance.
