m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
My naturopath gets me to go to the walk-in clinic for bloodwork as I would have to pay for them with him, we did find out couple months back that I was very slightly hyperthyroid, he gave me some thyroid capsules called BioThy, and it fixed that, my last bloodtest the thyroid was normal! He also told me I have BPPV, but that usually comes when I turn my head certain ways, look up too fast, turning over in bed, etc. This dizziness I have now feels like something else.
I am starting to think I may be suffering from a hormone imbalance as my symptoms seem to go when I start my period. I also suffer from inability to sleep, mood swings cyclical depression, facial hair, hot flushes as well as cold and irregular periods, I am now having 2 periods a month, one really light and short and one a week later that is pretty severe....

I suffered greatly with hot flushes but, am going through some kind of imbalance somewhere, somehow and am seeking out help from a gynecologist for it. I've also had the weight gain...right around the mid-section. Grrrrrr.
I think that most of us will say that the hot flushes and the weight gain are pretty annoying to say the least. Estrogen can cause weight gain but, can help with the hot flushes some.
Hence it is important to get thyroid antibodies tested. The other possibility is PCOD with hormone imbalance. The third possibility is adrenal gland dysfunction. So cortisol levels will have to be tested. It can even be very low iron.

It sounds like since your mother is going through menopause that the two biggest answers would be a thyroid issue or another hormone imbalance. Hormones and your thyroid both effect your period and the hair loss is also a sign of both menopause and thyroid issues. My mother is going through menopause and has noticed that she is losing hair from her arms, legs, and pubic area. The doctor said thats normal for menopausal women but if your mother has other more severe symptoms I would go to the Dr.

I decided to start birth control again so I got birth control through an online service. I started the pill a week ago and it made my thyroid symptoms come back so I stopped taking the pill after a week of taking it (mid pack). Once I stopped it, I took a hormone balancing vitamin so my hormones wouldn’t go crazy. Right after I took the vitamin, I got my period again. I just had my period 14 days ago. My cycles are usually 30-35+. I also am getting rashes and my whole body is itchy.
