Hypothyroidism can cause fluid retention and I also had these ginormous 'bags' under my eyes when on anti-thyroid meds. Maybe you have gone hypo and need the meds reduced/increased.....depending whether on a T4 med or antithyroid meds. When was the last time you had labs done?

I checked the archives, could not find anything on swollen eyes. My eyes have pools of fluid in spots around them , I have tried tea bags cucumbers, hot and cold packs. I have stoped any makeup, I am assuming this is some kind of effect. I had to start on thyroid meds, this is when this started, but I do not see this on the side effects Anyone else experiencing this sympton?

Woke up yesterday and both eyes were swollen, my eyelids and big puffy bags under my eyes. I have also been dizzy when I bend over. Very unusual for me. What do you think it could be?

I would not use any creams or lotions on or near the eye as they are not mean to get in her eyes, and that could cause some pretty serious problems. If her eye became swollen as a result of a bite elsewhere, I would be more concerned and would have her seen. In either case, if her eye is actually swollen shut, she should also be seen. Several months later, it happened again - I woke to find a slight red patch on my eyelid which on standing up, literally filled up with fluid as I watched and just got bigger for a number of hours! Usually lasts all day and has almost gone down on day 2. This was then happening every few months or so and it could be one eye or the other. Doctors verdict, allergy, just more eye drops, nasal spray and tablets.

two weeks ago I had sore swollen eyes. I purchased alergy meds over counter and it seemed to go away. I thought at the time it might also caused by my eyeliner so I purchased non-allergenic line. I used this past weekend and eye lids are very sore and swollen. Went back on alergy medicine. I put liner on bottom of eye to test and see if it was liner, but nothing happened so I assume not. I had this a month ago but my face was swollen too... i told my doctor but they put it down to the anti-deps i was on at the time. I stoped taking the anti deps as they made things worse and so am not on any meds at the moment so that cant be blamed... i have just found out that my grandad had thyrode problems.. i have had my bloods tested for this months ago but it came back clear?? am also having a lot of memory loss and mood swings...dont know what to do as the doctors just wont help me..

I feel horrible. My feel and legs are super swollen. I had to go on maternity leave early because i kept popping my leg bone out of place which really hurts when i walk and my doctor says that there's nothing that she can do about it but give me a belly band to help lift some of the babies weight off of me. Blue eyes are the dominate trait that can be passed on to babies. Brown is recessive so it's most likely they got the blue eyes from other generations in the family. I was born very light skin i didnt turn brown until like 8 i was born with jet black curly hair and very chinky eyes but now im like a caramel brown with brownish hair my hair changed as i got older and my eyes r light brown. they had me do hot compresses on my eyes. The eye drops they had me put them in whenever my eyes got dry and uncomfortable, I caught it really early, so it only lasted about 3 days.
