The symptoms included... Hives, itching,swelling of the throat, inability to swollow properly,swollen eyes,and a swollen itchy penis. The same symptoms have occurred each time since - less severe. I am 33 and have the same thing as the daughter of "At Wit's End". However, I'm not so concerned about the rash on my forehead as I am about my swollen eyelids. If it's acne, then why do my (our) eyelids swell? I happen to use a Clearasil cream as well. I wonder if that has something to do with it? I also have allergies to ragweed, dust mites, fragrance, etc. and take Claritin just about everyday.
For the past few months my left eye feels swollen....almost like it is a lead ball in my eye socket. I went to my lasik surgeon and he did all the normal test...glaucoma, eye pressure, tear film for dry eye....everything was normal and my vision is 20/20 in both eyes. But my eye gets worse every day. The doctor prescribed glasses for computer and reading since I am nearing 40 and he says that it seems to be eye strain, but I am not convinced.
I was out in the high heat and perspiration was dripping and nose was running. My eyes got blurry and now are closed and swollen?

two weeks ago I had sore swollen eyes. I purchased alergy meds over counter and it seemed to go away.
I thought at the time it might also caused by my eyeliner so I purchased non-allergenic line. I used this past weekend and eye lids are very sore and swollen. Went back on alergy medicine. I put liner on bottom of eye to test and see if it was liner, but nothing happened so I assume not. Why is this coming back and what do I do. Thanks.
Before I went to bed last night my eyes were really red and when I woke up this morning my eyes were swollen on the top and bottom. What are some ways to make the swelling go down. I went to a heath center today and they gave me some Medicine and it is working but my eyes are still swollen. I have itchy swollen eyes quite often they swell up really sore and watery, I'm not sure what brings it on and it can happen any time of the year and they are really sensitive once I knock they or get anything inside one it flares up.
As long as the eye and nose discharge is a clear watery discharge, the eyes are not swollen or held shut, they are eating and drinking well, and are doing their usual daily things, you should not need to worry. The best thing is to keep them hydrated by encouraging them to drink water or add water to their food. Watch them closely though for any problems. Older cats are more susceptible to dehydration or not eating well.
Good work on having them up to date on their vaccines.
thx for comments. Its both the actual eye (very dry and feels like there's grit in them) and swollen skin around the eyes - top and bottom. They feel ok today but were really painful for the previous 24 hours even with all the eye drops! By coincidence, I had a full eye test just prior to treatment to get new glasses. I know my skin is supersensitive now so I drive with a hat, scarf and gloves on and sunglasses and long sleeved shirt I look like a terrorist.
