Avatar m tn I don't know, but one thing you can do now is start eating superfoods. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables, organic, fresh when possible, unprocessed, and eat pumpkin seeds every day. They have been shown to fight prostate cancer.
Avatar n tn NO I never took any of these as most supplements are a waste of time and money. I'm not going to look them all up but usually you can do just fine with a healthy diet and regular vitamins. No need to buy any of this stuff - except if you want to waste money and most all of it is a hoax.
2175366 tn?1337651654 Some people get good results with "superfoods" such as bee pollen, royal jelly, spirulina because they are so highly concentrated with nutrients. Adrenal aids such as eleuthero and rhodiola can be helpful as well.
Avatar f tn I have a mostly healthy diet with a day or two in the month where I eat junk, like popcorn and apple pie with ice cream I recently started mixing Amazing Grass Superfoods and Wheat grass in my morning smoothies. My smoothies include a helping of berries: blue, black, and strawberries with banana and grape juice. Not sure if the superfoods have causes this grainy stool, but I am concerned since it lasts for a couple of days.
Avatar m tn I have currently taken back my health and am eating healthier than I have ever eaten in my life! My diet consists mainly of vegetables, healthy fats, meat and fruit and I have cut out dairy, processed grains, sugar (mostly-still treat myself every once and a while) and have started taking probiotics, daily vitamins, drinking more tea & water and am utilizing superfoods as well (acai, camu, ultra cleanse, cacao, etc).
Avatar f tn Because some research has shown that women with PCOS are insulin resistant, we need to really watch our sugar intake, while eating LOTs of raw, whole, live fruits, veggies, and superfoods..This along with exercise, stress reduction, (yoga is the best for me) and supplements have been shown to help other women.. I have been pretty down lately, due to the hair loss and skin problems, and have yet to give the natural path a complete go of it.
Avatar f tn It might be something your eating or drinking. Try eating slower. Other options may be Try milk or any anticids containg calcium or magnesium but avoid antacids that contain aluminum because it can cause constipation and be toxic at high doses. Keep your head elevated at night. Try to figure out what triggers heartburn. Also ginger ( ginger ale or ginger candy) If antacid isn't working you might want to consider something stronger, but talk to your doctor before you for that.
Avatar f tn Uncooked meats, raw sushi, unheated deli meats are a no-no, due to the risk of listeria. It's recommended to eat about 8 oz of fish per week, but not shark, mackeral, albacore tuna, and a few others that contain high levels of mercury. Salmon, light chunk tuna, shrimp, talapia are just a few that can be eaten during pregnancy. Soft cheeses, like brie or the queso fresco, and blue-veined/moldy cheeses, like some blue cheeses, aren't recommended for consumption.
Avatar m tn Things for anxiety slow you down. Things for energy sometimes speed you up, increasing anxiety. Ashwagandha is usually a good choice. Eleuthero is often a good choice -- I take both. Perhaps you just need time to get used to it. I've never heard of Organic India, so I can't comment on the company. I would have bought it from Planetary Herbals just because it's an old herb company owned by herbalists who started before this became big business. I trust them.
Avatar m tn m not a doctor and you should consult your doctor prior taking any non-essential supplements since you are on medication. Vitamins and superfoods supplements are safe tho and they have no interactions.
Avatar f tn I'm guessing from your user name that you sell it? It's multi-level marketing junk. MS involves the central nervous system, not our liver or kidneys. Unless you have issues with those organs, there's no such thing as the need to 'detox'. If you do have issues with those two organs, you need to be under the care of a doctor.
Avatar n tn Calories aren't the most important factor in weight or fat -- metabolism of the foods you're eating are. If you eat a lot of simple carbs, such as white flour or sugar, it will store as fat quickly if not burned off immediately, and the first place it goes is to the belly. You might want to find a chart that tells you how fast foods are metabolized into sugar and avoid the ones that do this the quickest.
Avatar f tn I understand a few conditions may occur despite what you do. However, most are not. Our society is so used to eating fast, cheap, & easy. When you shop at the grocery store, limit your picking up ANYTHING in a box. You're not eating healthy just because you cook it at home. HamburgerHelper, CompleteMeals, boxed TacoDinners or pretty much anything from a box is crap you shouldn't eat. Shop the perimeter of the store for the majority of your food. Frozen veggies are great, too.
Avatar f tn I have gained about 30 lbs without real cause, and I cannot lose the weight despite good old eating healthfully and exercise. I mean walking 4 miles per day. Recent CBC showed no thyroid issues, sugar is ok, etc. What could it be? Doc thinks Lexapro made me gain, could it also be the reason I can't lose?? Thank you!
Avatar f tn Plan healthy meals full of pregnancy superfoods.
7702223 tn?1394319054 Why aren't you eating?
Avatar f tn I am not much on people being lazy during pregnancy but i would def reccomend it for you. Dont lift anything heavy at all. Treat yourself like you would treat that baby. And i eould talk to the dr about having sex. Usually it is perfictly fine but may not be in your case. And dont worry about it either bc stress isnt good for either of you. But if it does happen, it is not your fault and nither were the other ones.
Avatar f tn Everything in moderation is okay. If you want to occasionally snack on it that's great. But anyways remember that's you aren't actually eating got two whole people. An extra 300 calories is more than sufficient.
Avatar f tn I do two things to help me not be hungry while dieting, first i snack on a 180 calorie pack of sunflower seeds, it takes me my whole work day to finish and keeps my mouth busy so im not snacking on high calorie stuff. ..plus they come in many flavors do its not boring. Secondly i do the volumetrics diet. Its based on the normal weight loss principles of low calorie, low fat but teaches you to choose items that will fill you up faster (ie-grapes instead of raisins).
4835896 tn?1369369421 Everything should be fine your body gives the baby what it needs first. As long as you aren't. Starving yourself or only eating junk food you and baby should be just fine.
