Avatar m tn What you experienced was not the "addictive" qualities of venlafaxine, of which there are none. Rather, what you went through was the "withdrawal" symptoms of abruptly stopping this medication.........a bad thing to do, as you found out in a very frightening way. Shame on your doctor for not advising you properly about this medication, especially what would happen if you discontinued it suddenly. As you have since found out, you must taper gradually from it.
535822 tn?1443976780 In complement to vitamins B complex you should consider Spirulina, black Cohosh and siberian ginseng ( if you really want the best thing on the market that contains not only spirulina but many other superfoods go for Green+ powder or SuperFood RX, I do take Green+ and the results are amazing and 3 tea spoon is basically like taking 6 green salad portions. Black Cohosh will help to balance your estrogen level. Physical activity is highly recommended to balance your homones.
Avatar f tn I am on the Low Iodine diet for the next two weeks, I was wondering what are the Sweets that are allowed to eat, I have a terrible sweet tooth and the cookbook had no sugestions, so looking for what sweets I am allowed to have. Avatar n tn You need to be on the Low Iodine Diet. If you go to thyca.org and there is the low iodine cookbook pdf on the left hand side. Remember, it's not necessarily a no salt diet. You can have salt, just the non-iodized kind. And no sea salt. I was told to go on it a week before my treatment, which ended up being almost two weeks, because my treatment dose was given late in the week on the second week. I then had to stay on it for 48 hours afterwards. Hope that helps!
2175366 tn?1337651654 Some people get good results with "superfoods" such as bee pollen, royal jelly, spirulina because they are so highly concentrated with nutrients. Adrenal aids such as eleuthero and rhodiola can be helpful as well.
Avatar f tn I am very excited to have found this website, as I have just started a project of creating a cookbook for parents with CSID children. My son was diagnosed 3 years ago and have had to spend a lot of time adjusting his diet and learning on my own as the csid support group site is not very helpful. During the past year, I have added several supplements to my son's diet and he thriving and doing exceptionally well!
Avatar f tn I have a mostly healthy diet with a day or two in the month where I eat junk, like popcorn and apple pie with ice cream I recently started mixing Amazing Grass Superfoods and Wheat grass in my morning smoothies. My smoothies include a helping of berries: blue, black, and strawberries with banana and grape juice. Not sure if the superfoods have causes this grainy stool, but I am concerned since it lasts for a couple of days.

I did not see it on the thyca wedsite. I want to make sure that I do everything possible to insure good results from the treatment so I would appreciate finding recipes. Thank you.
425199 tn?1313068997 When I was on the LID, I called the Nuclear Med department in frustration because I had printed out a cookbook from another site, and everything said to use unsalted ingredients. The diet that they gave me at the hospital said I could have peanut butter, along with various other things that had salt in them. The nurse at Nuclear Meds told me that I could have salt - just not "iodized" salt.

Avatar f tn There is a cookbook out there on what foods to eat to help improve fertility. I was given it by a friend. I don't remember what increased it but I do remember that it said to avoid soy and pineapple. I'll let you know the name of it when I get home tonight if you would like.

8573748 tn?1398993081 I've been taking Rainbow Light Complete Prenatal System since a month before I got pregnant & I really love them. Have never been sick once from them. They're made from food based nutrition & superfoods so they're very gentle on the tummy. They promote healthy brain, eyes, nerves, Boone, teeth, & blood. I totally recommend checking them out online or just giving them a try. I also take Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA twice a day. For me, the two are a perfect combo.

176495 tn?1301280412 I'm a type 2 diabetic, 58 years old diagnosed 2.5 years ago. For quite a while I did very good job eating right but for the last year or so life has been very hectic and stressful and my eating habits have really taken a beating..my blood sugar usually averages around 130, my last A1C was 6.9 and I've gained back most of the weight (30lbs) that I lost.. can anyone recommend a good "every day" cookbook...not one where the meals look like something that belong an art museum..
Avatar n tn You can also buy a renal cookbook. They are really informative, and can teach you how to get the proper nutrition for a person with kidney disease. I learned a lot from mine. I got one from Amazon.com. Good Luck!
