168348 tn?1379357075 I have an acer Aspire one and I use the Avast antivirus. My husband does computer security and this is what he uses on this computer. He also is a big fan of Norton.
144586 tn?1284666164 Similarly a test in a sensior citizens center found the computer software will not permit downloading of the program. A third test in an internet cafe demonstrated the survey cannot be downloaded. A fourth test in a deli pay computer also blocked the survey. This suggests that many people are not going to be able to answer the survey, who would desire to do so, and the outcome will be biased. This should suggest that a new survey be devised without the .exe file.
995271 tn?1463924259 Go to www.malwarebytes.com . Get their free software and do a quick scan. It's good stuff.
Avatar f tn As far as your computer virus is concerned, I would uninstall your Norton antivirus and istall AVG vruis protection software whicg is free. It is mucg better ant virus software than Norton. If you don't diasable the Norton you could have problems. Stay strong and llok ahead to even better days. Let me knwo if I can help you in any way in your recovery efforts.
Avatar n tn //groups.yahoo.com/group/cksoftware_betatest_palm/ .... I hope this helps someone. When I first was diagnosed and asked about meal planning software on various forums and newsgroups - no one said anything. These programs would have made my earlier days a lot less stressful.
Avatar f tn The first EKG is sent to the company and will be read for free. After that they will send a code to unlock the software so that you can see your own EKGs of pay to either have a technicial or a Doctor read your EKG.
Avatar f tn AVG in my experience slows the computer down by using up resources. At least the free version did... AVAST has been the best so far for me for the last 8 years. I've used it along with a few malware programs to fix bugs in other's computers and get them back up and running. The best thing is they have a FREE home user version and if you purchase the Pro version, it's cheaper than any other one out there.
199177 tn?1490498534 The free edition of AVG works great. I used it for a period of around 2 months before registering a copy of AVG Internet Security. It does a very good job at keeping viruses, trojans and other such malware away. My 2nd option would be Kaspersky. I had used it for a year. Apart from antiviruses, I'd also recommend installing an anti-spyware/adware software like Ad-AWare (its free) or WebRoot Spy Sweeper (not free).
Avatar m tn Exophoria can be helped with computerized vision training exercises. These exercises are more effective in patients who have eye strain when reading, and this sounds like you. I'm answering from home and I don't have my reference materials, but try to search out a company in California USA under the terms "computer orthoptics". I have found this software very effective in patients with a type of exophoria known as convergence insufficiency.
365714 tn?1292199108 Tsk, tsk, tsk.....you can still run the computer I sent you & keep up all the updates till you get the software you want to install on it...at least for surfing, etc. you would be safe. There is a feature to cleanup & optimize. Did you fragment the master file table (mft) & paging files, run file clean, empty recycle bin, check to see if there are temporary files not needed, etc. If I were there, I would comb through to check what is cluttering it....
Avatar f tn When using EKG and blood pressure monitoring alone the test is variously called a cardiac stress test, exercise stress test, exercise treadmill test, exercise tolerance test, stress test or exercise ECG test. Heart rate, breathing, blood pressure, EKG, and how tired you feel are monitored during the test.
Avatar m tn You're not going to beat this without primarily some self-discipline, which comes from a determination to make yourself stop. You could get some parental control software on your computer, to block access to porn sites. You'll need to be strong-minded about not just typing in the password to let you past the blocking software - or just create a password you can't remember by hitting random keys on your computer when you set the blocking software up.
Avatar n tn My MRI CD is also on that software, and it won't run on anything but XP, in my experience.
Avatar n tn Is there any computer software that will detect atrial fibrillation with enough accuracy to have me (the patient) contact my doctor when I get a positive reading?
Avatar n tn 1 and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes on Feb. 5th. I have an ultra touch 2 monitor for her. I did notice that they have a software for it in which I can download and monitor her levels, etc. I also have noticed that there is a diabetes pilot software in which I can get for my desktop and pda. I like the fact that the diabetes pilot has a list of foods (carbs, etc.) that you can enter for reference and can be used on my pda.
751951 tn?1406632863 I picked up a disc with some CT scans and ultrasound images today, and noticed that the autorun software included was called "eFilm Lite", by Merge Software, (IIRC). . It was the same program, though a slightly different version, that was on the disc I received from the MRI center about 3 weeks ago (Version 2.0.0 vs. 2.1.1). That one wouldn't run on either of my home computers; I've yet to try the one I received today.
Avatar n tn There appears to be a computer software problem. I can't through to the manager for an explanation of the problem all day. Have you tried the link I have provided with the post "Find a Doctor"? Its a new feature and may have something to do with the problem you are having as there may be a conversion from the old procedure to the new (just guessing). However, the link may serve your interest. I will get back to you when I have an explanation. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Avatar f tn mellie, you aren't alone. I've had my Toshiba Satellite for 5 years and it's time for a new one. One of my dogs trashed the keyboard a couple years ago - kept slapping it trying to get my attention - so I've used an add-on keyboard ever since. I have so much research data on it that I have to clear the internet cache and defrag daily or it takes 5 minutes to load a new web page.
867582 tn?1311627397 Without the software there is no image at all, just a computer full of numerical data. The software is what turns magnetic signals into a picture. I remember in the 1970's when the CT was being developed by EMI ((the same EMI, (Electronic Music, Inc) of the Beatles)). They told us that the computer needed to analyze 27,000 simultaneous equations per second in order to make the (essentially) 3D images. That was mind-boggling at the time.
