Common Questions and Answers about Stopping levora side effects

levora

Avatar f tn I am not ready for a hysterectomy/ooverectomy yet. Is there a birth control pill out there with fewer side effects for depression. I take Effexor XR 225mg daily. I will start a Intensive Out-patient Program this week for depression.
Avatar f tn I'm taking birth control pills since yesterday. My doctor didn't ask me to take a pregnancy test because I was sure I wasn't. But this morning I threw up and I feel nausea. I'm also experiencing dizziness. I'm taking levora. So now idk if I'm pregnant or it's just the first effects of the pills. I talked to my doctor and she said I shouldn't be throwing up.
Avatar m tn After taking the meds for over 5 days I am experiencing sleeplessness, headache and constipation. Could someone let me know if these are the side effects of the meds? should i continue or should I stop taking them? thank you.
Avatar f tn THOUGHT I WAS GOING CRAZY BEFORE I FOUND YOU GUY. FINALLY SAW FEED BACK FROM THE COMMUNITY THAT VERIFIED OTHERS FEELING SAME. ANYONE FEELING ANYTHING ELSE ODD? PLEASE POST. ALSO HAVE BLOATING, IRRITABILITY. Avatar f tn I have been on levora birth control for four months now and my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex two days in a row and he finished inside of me, we usually don't do that. However, now I'm getting nervous because I hear that levora is a low dose pill and they are easy to get pregnant on.. I usually take it at 8 am sometimes I'm an hour late but usually I always take it at 8. I'm on the third week of my pack so I should be starting my period next week.
Avatar f tn So I took Levora from the age of like 14 through 26 (I went off of it around age 23 and got pregnant shortly after so I didn't get back on it until I stopped breastfeeding). I started getting my period very young (age 9) and I don't recall them being too irregular. Normally they'd be about 28 - 32 days in between periods. So a little irregular but still not too irregular. They were also always very heavy and painful, hence why my mother opted to put me on Levora.
Avatar n tn Your physician may have to weigh the risks and benefits between stopping the drug or continuing its use given the side effects involved.
Avatar f tn I thought that I might be overreacting, that it could just be side effects of stopping birth control or that I was just ovulating for the first time on months. Then I thought, my boyfriend and I were "together" on December 8th and 13th and almost every day since. I have taken home pregnancy tests but they are negative. However I know there is a high possibility that its way too early to tell. Anyway, any advice would be very appreciated.
Avatar m tn Any blood from that *area* that is brown or dark is considered old blood. ANd like Laura said, switching BC can mess your cycle up. I went from BC pills to the Depo shot and I bled for 5 weeks straight...all which was old blood. If your that worried you can have your doc run a pregnancy test on you, and you can speak to him/her about the side effects that you may have with yaz. I agree with Laura, I don't think you are pregnant, I think it's just your hormones from switching BC.
Avatar n tn Yep, welcome to Tamoxifen. Those are all glorious side effects. Suggestion...try changing when you take Tamoxifen (try a couple weeks in the morning, couple weeks in the evening...couple weeks midday), take it with food...and also make sure you drink plenty of water in the day. I take mine usually midday now and the hot flashes have calmed down along with the mood swings.
Avatar f tn Ive had 4 epidurals and just like anything there are potential side effects which is why they make you sign the form prior. But my first was 14 years ago and I've never had a single side effect.
Avatar m tn I take melatonin, not nightly, but maybe two or three or four nights a week. I have tried to read up on side effects and have not found much information at all. I don't notice any side effects, myself. Since melatonin is a short-acting drug, and the therapeutic effects of it do not seem to last long at all, I'm thinking that any side effects would not last longer than a few hours or a day or two -- at most -- after you discontinued using it.
Avatar n tn I have been prescribed Acebutolol for PVC's and I am literally exhausted since beginning this medication but I didn't see that as one of the side effects. Also, my vision is blurred. Is this normal?
Avatar m tn Libra, call the prescribing doc and discuss the issue. He may want to switch you to another form of antibiotic to finish out the treatment plan. If you're positive the antibiotic is causing the problem it's probably not a good idea to continue to take it.
Avatar f tn My German Shepherd was recently prescribed incurin and it has caused her not to eat and a little bit aggressive and scared... She also was running around with her hackles up and starting fights with my other dogs...She only had 3 or 4 days of it and then I took her off of it this last Sunday was her last dose...She still is not wanting to eat and not 100% back to herself? How long do the side effects last...It was taking me an hour and a half to get her to eat 2 cups of food...
907968 tn?1292622204 I can't think of anyone who would tell you to wean off thyroid med. If you are truly hypo, you will need thyroid med for the rest of your life, even if your levels are stable - the point of taking med is to keep your levels stable. The "side effects" of stopping the levo/synthroid will be that your thyroid levels will decrease and your hypo symptoms will return, basically putting you back to square one. I'm surprised your doctor would go along with that.
