Can anyone describe in as much detail as possible what kind of pain or symptoms (if any) they felt after quitting smoking? I have felt this gnawing pain and sometimes sharp pain like being poked with a needle in my stomach somewhere during the time I quit smoking. I can't tell if it is from quitting or a symptom of something else. I know I should go see a doctor but I am so low on money w/ no insurance. Please help. Thanks in advance.
Ever since I quit smoking 9 months ago I have been sick. I now have metobolic syndrome, A thyroid condition, ulcers, an alergy to aspirin, it seems one thing after another ever since i quit. Has anyone else experienced this ??? Its the worst, plus I think I have gained 10000 pounds NOT due to eating? Just bloated all over, plse.
I had thanksgiving dinner and not long after eating I started getting bad stomach pains. I have gas or had gas and got sick 6 times. Stomach pain isn't cramping and there is no spotting but the pain won't subside. I always have some sort of stomach ache and nausea all the time but this pain is different. This isits 1st pregnancy and I'm just not sure what to do. Tried calling my boyfriend but he's sleeping and has his phone off.
Just wondering if anybody can help me here. I quit smoking 24 days ago and I feel like crap. I get dizzy sometimes, hard the breathe sometimes. When i wake up, sometimes i have blood in my nose. I havent really cough anything up yet. One day im really good, next like crap. Its weird and its starting to drive me nuts. I get in really mad mood cause of not smoking and cause of the aftermaths. Sometimes it feels like my heart is beating fast and skipping a beat etc..

Quit smoking 14th of June, 2017 after feeling dizzy, almost falling until I rested for a while. Had been smoking weed since 2009. Drinking and smoking cigarettes as well but not too often with the cigs. Stopped smoking weed, cigs abd drinking all at once. Three days after, I felt angina pain and pain in my lungs. It's been almost three weeks now and I still feel pains occasionally but not as severe as before. Feeling abdominal pains as well. Getting very scared now.
I started smoking at a young age too. Now it causes me more problems than it's worth. A doctor told me to quit while I can prevent chest pains and asthma. Stop smoking while you can. And a Social Setting only prevents you from quitting.
If I may regress, I quit smoking on Halloween Night, October 31, 1964. I collapsed with a perforated ulcer. The doctor told me I had to quit smoking because nicotine, a drug, activates the acid pumps in my stomach lining and would irritate my ulcer.
It appears that maybe the lack of nicotine has caused some change in your stomach.
Ten years ago, I developed a second ulcer, and I have taken one OTC Prilosec a day for 10 years with no problem.
Is joint pain/arthritis possible after quitting smoking? I'm on week 8 since I quit, and it's been 3 weeks since I last chew nicotine gum. I've been experiencing joint pain everywhere (hands, ankle, wrist, neck). Could this be a result of my body releasing toxins?
I was the same way, my doc said to wein myself off because if you quit it can shock the baby but I slowly weaned myself off till about 8 wks and started feeling sick now every time I smell or even think about smoking I feel sick to my stomach and I haven't smoked for almost 5 months, she said the same for caffeine and working out too
I am 35, am a diabetic type 2, have been a smoker (10-12 cig a day) for 10 ys, quit smoking a month back. I quit because I was getting bit of dull pain on my right upper front side of chest below the shoulder blade and chest felt bit heavy.
But as I quit, I seem to feel more uncomfortable in the right upper part of chest every now and then. The pain is not terrible though and there are time when I don't feel it at all.
I've been dealing with this for the past year. I've been getting severe stomach pains (doubled-over, I'm-about-to-scream pain) and diarrhea/constipation. I nap all the time and have diffuculty waking up and staying awake (enough that it's actually affecting my life). I have to poop about 30 minutes after a meal (or else I might 'have an accident'). I get very nauseus/dizzy a lot.
Yea i wanna quit but i hear if u go "cold turkey" n just quit then that's harmful for the bby as well. Idk I'm confused Lol.
lately i have been havin a chest pains before or afta smoking. its like a sharp shooting pain on the right side of the chest. and when i try to breath in heavily after around 3 seconds i cannot inhale anymore have to breath out and start again. so you can imagine what its like running or doing exercise its like a knife in the chest. any suggestions what i should do?????

Hi, i'm 18 going on 19 and I smoke maybe ten to twenty cigarettes a day and have been smoking for about 3 years now. I wouldn't say i'm a particularly healthy individual but i'm by no means majorly unhealthy either.
I'm having random pains around my diaphragm area, at first I thought they were pains in my chest but after keeping an eye on the problem I twigged that it was more below the lungs and perhaps stomach area/diaphragm.
So I've managed to quit smoking and now I'm hungry ALL THE TIME! My stomach is growling at me every other hour and I just can't seem to get enough to eat. Blah... I've gained 4 lbs so far and the Dr advised me to maintain my weight, not gain. Sigh... at least I've quit smoking.
Hi I am a 24 going on 25 year old male. I recently quit smoking as well. I smoked almost a pack a day. Two years ago I started having a stomach issue. At that point my symptoms were pain/discomfort in the stomach with mucus in stool and what felt like constipation. I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy done. The endoscopy revealed an ulcer which had an h.pylori infection. I was given prevacid to treat it. The symptoms never went away.
