stomach pains after taking aleve

Incidentally this was also a few days after I stopped taking Aleve as per my doctors request. He seems to think there is inflammation and it is muscular/skeletal. Seems like the work out may have agitated the healing.

If one is taking chemotherapy to combat cancerous lung nodules can they take Aleve (or similar) pain relief for joint/spin pain not related cancer? I understand the harshness of Aleve and aspirin on stomach and as a minimum one needs to take these medications with food, at least a few oz of milk.

When my sciatica was so bad my doctor gave me prescription strength naproxin (which is Aleve) and because of how hard it is on the stomach gave me Aciphex with it (similar to Prilosec). Good luck!

after taking the amount of pills i took in the past, i freaked when i popped 2 freakin ibuprophen and 1/2 hr later had no more aches, dont get me wrong i get achey, but 2 took the edge off. after speending thousands on oxys it was nice to feel better on about 20 cents.

What's the difference between Advil vs tylenol vs aleve? I've been having brutal pain (on a scale of 1-10, 10 being dying it's like an 8-9) I have a 4mm muscle tear on my side stomach muscle from a car accident. I was told ab muscles can take months n months to heal so I'm really worried, it's affecting my work, my child (it's hard to pick her up) sneezing, coughing hurts etc Anyways, I've been taking Advil 2 every 4 hrs.

Okay I'm pmsing I don't normally have bad ones but this is so painful in my abdomen n back breast feels like my chest is tight I took 3 extra Advil 1 gravel n have a heating bag on my tummy but nothing is letting up! I did forget to take the last four birth control pills I don't know if that means anything but I'm in agony n I feel like I have chest pains but i don't feel nauseous just pain what is happening??

Ladies can I ask has anyone ever ovulated and had cramps and bad ovulation pains? As I have posted before I am taking vitex and **** quai and I have never had ovulation pains this bad, i am sure I am ovulating my CM is stretchy and egg white looking so yes we have “got it on” …for a lack of better words. Is it okay to take Advil or something to relieve the pain, I feel full of gas also if that makes sense….

I am currently on no medications. I also had a fever of 102.9 yesterday and extreme bodily pains, but both of those have gone away, but was thinking that the two symptoms could be related. Does anybody know what may help with the stool problem or at least what it may be?

I recently started taking 2 Aleve 220 mg in the evening. I am a 77 year-old woman, 150 lb, 5'7" and very healthy and active. My normal blood pressure is always in the range of: 124 / 72. Now it is spiking to 159/95 consistently and only started when I started the Aleve. ???????

My 17 year old son has chest pains after taking ibuprofen. The first time it happened I took him to his Pediatrician because of the back pain he had that day and mentioned the pain in his chest because I gave him ibuprofen thinking it would help. They did a EKG and it came back fine that was about 3 years ago. IT has happened every time I gave it to him either pill and now liquid. I know I have given him liquid in the past when he was little so why is this happening now.

I'm in my early 30's and have always had period pains. However, in the last few years they have been extremely painful, so much so that I have even thrown-up! They are so unbearable that they wake me up during my sleep and on the morning of my first day I occasional have no option but to take the morning off work until the pain killers kick in. My lower back and stomach and thighs are incredibly tender during these days.

I was diagnosed with endo, but before that had been seeing a gasterologist, for severe bloating, pain in stomach, back, legs and also having major pain when going to the toilet. It was after having my third ultra sound that they found a cyst on one of my ovaries. I was sent for a laproscopy and they found that my bowel was attached to my right wall by the endo. They removed the bowel that was attached. Within a year I was in having the endo removed. Been feeling 100% since.

I agree with the above comment. Take it from some one who has liver problems you don't want to go down that road. Which is were you are headed if you don't stop taking so many Aleve. That alot to take for a month. There are new migraines out there that work. My daughter has migraines and the med's work for her.

Yup, I'm taking it with food and water. I'm taking the Naprosyn for a pretty specific reason but I could possibly ask my doc for another option.

The pain from the pleurisy was virtually gone by the end of September. I had been taking Aleve every day to help reduce inflamation. However, in early October the pain made a comeback and through today it remains. I can feel it mainly when taking deep breaths. The pain is mild and it is not constant. I dont feel pain when sitting watching TV or using the computer or eating. I also feel pain if I intentionally tense the muscles on my right side.

I am 8 weeks pregnant and I am having sharp pains in my stomach area with some swelling and the pain is making me sick. My doctor prescribed some anti nausea medication that said it can cause constipation is this what is happening? What can you take while pregnant to help?

I was shopping in the grocery store when I started feeling stomach pains in my upper middle stomach. I felt light-headed also & hot. I quickly got done/headed home. Now I am having stomach pains that come like waves & middle of chest also (spasms). Last time this happened, I ended up in ER with pain meds & it was the gerd as I had not been taking the prilosec every day to save on pills. Well this time, I haven't been skimping, so am concerned.

I also have taken them under the name of vimovo which is the aleve (naproxen) and something for your stomach (nexium) I think they were even better. From what i can see the maxalt and the zomig are also very similar.

So if anyone else is experiencing this, I would recommend taking 1 Aleve and just rest for a bit.

Once you re-evaluate your pain levels a few things that have worked for me are epidural shots for my back, prednisone tapers, exercise , Tiger balm is AWESOME for aches and pains. Aleve etc.. Look into finding a doc who you can be honest with and explain what you are looking to accomplish and that you wish to do it without narcotics. Good luck!
