stomach pain left ribs

I am a 26 year old female, and for the last year or so I have had pain on my left side. It started with my ribs feeling tender and bruised, but I have not had any trauma to them. Now for the last 5 months the pain has become worse and mostly constant. Along with new symptoms. Left sided abdominal tenderness that extends to my flank , reflux, and occasional constipation. I do not have insurance and have found it hard to find a doctor willing to let me make payments for visits.

Please help me out.

I keep getting a sharp stabbing pain in my left side under my ribs. it only been happening today but now its happening bout every half hour. its making me feel dizzy its that bad. what could it be????

Im 16 years old and ive been having these really bad stomach pains like im being stabbed in the stomach im not pregnant i know for sure but its like in multiple places in my stomach and it hurts really bad its like to the right close to the bottom of my rib and to the left same and near the center and also like toward the upper stomach area near the top of my ribs and multiple places in my stomach area its like being punched several times then stabbed and sometimes it hurts so bad i cry it will

Hi I am 33 y/o male. I've had left side pain (front near ribs/side) for the past 3 months now. The pain comes and goes, seems like it gets worse after I eat too much, sit in certain positions, lie in certain positions etc. CBC and urinalysis are normal. Ultrasound of stomach area didn't find anything abnormal. What could this be? If it is muscle strain how come it isn't getting any better? Are there other explanations?

So I am 12+1 weeks pregnant and am I have really bad lower stomach pain like 2 or 3 inches below my belly button. I've had gas all day which my gas pains are on my left side 2 inches below my ribs. I'm scared that something is wrong with my baby.

Im 17 weeks and ive neen suffering from pain on my right ribs for 2 days now.. idk what's going on but can anyone pls tell me what can I do..

A few days ago, I had an extremely sharp pain right under my left ribs. The pain would go away if I laid down but when I was standing, walking or sitting it would begin to work again. What could this be?

If I lie on my right side my left side suffers a strong jab of pain and if I lie on my left side, the pain is opposite. If I just endure it ( because I only sleep on my side) then after a while the pain subsides. Put crudely it feels like a piece of wood across the base of my ribs when I lie down and thus causes the opposite pain. I've wondered if it was my large intestine, my stomach, my liver or even my kidneys. Do any of these symptoms make sense to you.

I don't know about the other women but I did not have high upper ab pain when my ovary was out of whack. I had bloating, constipation and general feeling of yuck but no actual pain with mine. Other women complain of pain down in the lower left or right side, even pain down the leg. Sounds like the ultrasound covered most of the internal organs. Wonder about a hernia which might not show while you're lying down.

well could be a few things but is it painful? What side of the ribs are hurting? Both? Left side would be possible spleen...right side would be gallbladder..spleen would be sensitive to the touch and usually a ct scan/xray would be used to diagnose that. Could be trapped gas, so maybe buy some gas x and give that a shot..had a member here a while ago went to the doctor thinking she had some spleen issue and it turned out to be gas trapped on her left side (it happens).

it seems though in my case that the pain is associated to my stomach , my pain travels into my left armpit as well.. they have never offered an explanation for this but there are nerves that pass through those areas and can cause phantom pain where what hurts isnt really where the problem is coming from..... did you have any fractures from the fall? sometimes they dont heal right. in the fall you may have also torn ligament, which doesnt heal well on its own...

( Everytime she kicks my right ribs hurt and of course her butt hits my left ribs and that hurts as well.

I have a pain in between my ribs that just hurts. Doesnt feel like I have to throw up or use the bathroom just hurts. Also have a bad taste in my mouth. I only get it like once a month... any clues?

If pain is on the side in the left lower quadrant, it is possibly from the colon. Some rare condditions like volvulus (a part of the colon twists around its axis) could be possible. Small intestinal hernia would be also posible - this could be probably possible to detect with the hands as a soft lump in the affected area. I guess, ultrasound could be the first investigation and X-ray with barium swallow or enema after that.

With new pain under your left rib, have you noticed any bowel changes? Constipation, bloating, or diarrhea? Also have you been on a heavy course of antibiotics lately?

i have bad cramps in my legs but not my ribs. but my ribs do hurt really bad now! like they feel so sore and sometimes i can feel her up in there and its just like omg.

So I'm 22 weeks and I wanted to know if it's normal to feel pain on your left side where your rib is?

Though right bow it feels like there is something jabbed in-between my ribs and 2 weeks ago my left hip hurt the same aswell and since the rib pain has started I sometimes get a sharp sucking pain under my left breast. The rib pain is mostly on the left and it started about a month and half ago then stoped for a few weeks and came back after one night when I felt like something was eating away at my stomach.

Ive posted here a couple of times trying to figure out if an upper enoscopy is the correct procedure for me. I have had pain through the left lower ribs going into the mid abdomen section. Though the pain seems to be a bit closer to the surface than I would think the stomach/ small instestine is located. When I contract my muscles sometimes I will feel a pop feeling under the ribs and I know its not a hernia because I had a cat scan.

I have pain in my lower stomach and a lot of pressure and fullness on my left side under ribs for over one year. had an us today their is a cyst on my right ovary she didn't say how big. I also feel nauseus and tired alot and some times the pain goes dow my legs. i was just wondering if this could be caused by the cyst because the lady who did my us said that the pain in my left side under my ribs was not caused by the cysts snd it was probley my bowel.
