Can anyone tell me what the effect, if any, on my thyroid will be from suffering with the stomach flu? I just came down with it last night and today I am MISERABLE in more ways than one. Other than the stomach issues, it seems every single symptom I have experienced thus far has returned and with a vengeance!! Is this normal and how long does it take to level out???

I had the flu around 20 weeks and all is well. Dr gave me that one flu medicine that is on commercials a lot... I forgot what it's called but it's only five pills. I was concerned for baby but he is fine. I'm 32 weeks now. STAY HYDRATED I can not emphasize that enough... fever and dehydration can be really bad for baby so drink LOTS of water. If its just a cold you and your baby should be fine but if its the flu is more serious because the medicine they give for the flu is harmful for the baby and since is the flu season you should go get the shot as soon as you can..

I took Maalox antacid for the first two days, but the more I take this medicine, the more often my stomach aches. My doctor said that it may be the medicine - Maalox that causes this pain, so he changed my medicine to geltazine capsule. Then this month, my son was diagnosed with the same - gastritis. he is just two years old. is it possible for a two year kid to have this disease? he was prescripted with the same medicine- Maalox.

So I've had the stomach flu since Sunday night & its now Thursday morning. I'm starting to get really freaked out that its lasting this long. I normally wouldnt be nervous bc it was low risk but i developed symptoms. 5 days post exposure i had flu like symptoms with fever, night sweats, sore throat, achey muscles, ect... Well one thing is the flu is viral so even medicine won't really effect it besides to give relief to the symptoms for a little while. With a fever that means it's turned bacterial and you may have an infection which then is when antibiotics will help.

ve never experienced this when I get the usual stomach flu. Symptoms are gone within days…. Salmonella poisoning was the main suspect during my hospital visit. Im assuming that the fact that these weird symptoms are still taking place, must support the suspicion that I did get salmonella poisoning? or these symptoms could still be that of the antibiotic.

I threw up and had watery diarreah Sunday night and all day Monday and Monday night. Tuesday early my bf took me to the emergency room. They said I had stomach flu and pumped me with IV fluids and gave me some medicine for the watery diarreah I was having.
