i have regular motions and have no irregularity in it. The problem i have is i get some lumps of blood in my stool.usually its black in colour . this blood comes almost on my every nature's call. stool is normal as it should be(not hard,not black) .i started facing this problem since i started jogging .i have reduced around my 10 kgs by jogging. i have no problems because of this blood(means no pain,no constipation,stomach ache nothing ).i feel fit from inside .

m on Levothyroxine for my thyroid and I have never had blood in my stool. the only time I see blood is when I wipe so maybe you are having hemroid problems like I do.

It has been four months or better and I have been feeling better however I still have a stomach ache feeling that subsides when I go to bed and does not start up again until I am up four a couple of hours. (three to four). My GP tells me that it could be my nerves as I was a nervous wreck before I received the results of my tests. Could I have pick up a bacteria from being with this woman? Perhaps getting to close to her anus? Or is this something totally unrelated?

If this will be negative, you may have a breath test for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth - SIBO (would go with bloating), or x-ray with barium enema to check for diverticulitis (left sided abd. pain and bloating), which both go with black dots in stool. Blood coming from stomach causes black tarry stools. This can be confirmed by Hemoccult. Iron pills or Pepto-Bismol also cause black stool.

If you worry about your stomach ache- then your stomach ache will probably continue. Anxiety disorders make this stuff worse. Dont listen to everything i say though because im not a doctor,i just know from myself, my anxiety and personal experience. Hope i helped. Stomach aches can be the worst.

My son is 6 years old. He had fever and headache a week ago. He vomitted on the 2nd day, and lost appetite, even refusing to drink water. We took him to hospital and even blood check was done. I have had a chronic stomach ache for about 10 of the last 14 days. The pain is located in the upper abdominal region. It s a burning/nagging pain that has been on and off. If you have blood in your stool it will usually be very black or you could actually pass red blood...If you are having any stomach pain that you cant explain then you should probably let your dr. check you. One thing to remember if you have been taking pepto bismol or any antacid then it usually will turn your stools black....Something in the medicine causes it to turn colors...If that is the case then stop taking them for a week and see if your stools clear up....But i would still call the DR..

I agree! Blood in the stool implies bleeding somewhere in the GI Tract. Red or maroon colored blood is usually rectal bleeding (lowest part of the colon). Add in the pain, and you need to see a doctor ASAP. You don't want to delay treatment for a GI bleed.

Last night I had quite a bit of blood come out when I went to the bathroom, then this morning the right side of my stomach started to hurt really bad and it has hurt all day and now tonight along with the abdominal pain I now have dark red blood clots in my stool. Yesterday it was bright red and now it is dark red and clots. I am so scared and I do not know what to do. Please help. I am 29 years old and I am normally pretty healthy.
