Avatar f tn If you make lower then your cities standard income for families you can do to your local family services and sign up for temporary assistance for needy families. (Tanf) you can also apply for food stamps and child care costs if your wanting to find a job they provide child care as well at least that's how it is in mo. Good luck hope u figure something out!
Avatar f tn I liked your quote without any exertion I can breathe normally...whatever the hell that is. What is normal when you have been short of breath so long. I totally agree. I myself I have COPD as well. My guess would be if it is day 5 without the inhalers, then they should be out of your system. I too had problems with Advair and Spiriva. I was diagnosed in Oct. 07 with moderate COPD. Was put on Advair, Spiriva and ProAir as my rescue inhaler.

1713150 tn?1314467342 They have a program that offers the best assistance for those in financial need. There are two kinds of assistance programs...one there is no need for any financial forms to be filled out. They make sure to keep your cost at thirty or forty dollars (I don't remember the exact amount) per month. The other requires you to fill out financial forms...If you are in need you will be approved and they move quickly. I wish you the best.
Avatar f tn My doctor has given me options for medications for MS. These are expensive since they are considered specialty drugs. Tecfidera seems to be my safest choice for now, but I was told my insurance would only cover 50% and my payment would be about $3600. I don't have that kind of money to spend every month. I'm on unemployment. I know some of the drug companies have financial assistance....has anyone had experience with the financial assistance they provide?
Avatar n tn The social services department of most hospitals can provide lists of assistance programs. I am only familiar with the drug assistance programs for those needing to treat for hepc. I wish I had more to share with you and hope some help becomes available for him soon. Best of luck.

4461995 tn?1357955108 Hi and thanks in advance. I got financial assistance from Tysabri, but after having 3 infusions, finally got an invoice for the first infusion. My responsibility is over $350. No way can I afford that every month. Avonex cost me around $25 a month. I was on that for 14 years. Not so sure about this whole thing yet. Does anyone have any ideas about the best way to get financial assistance: from the hospital where I get my infusions or directly from Tysabri?
Avatar n tn My questions are, How serious is this side effect, Should I continue using the Spiriva, Continue the Spiriva but stop the Symbicort, or Drop both and just take Combivent which I currently use as my emergency inhaler? Are there other alternative that I and my doc should consider.
Avatar m tn Symptoms have become much more severe recently and I am to the point where she will require around the clock assistance before long. I work full time and am wondering if there are any gov. programs that will pay me for being a full time care giver. We live in Illinois and my only options are to quit my job to care for her and loose everything we have including house, or place her in a nursing home which I cannot even bear thinking about.
Avatar n tn If you are taking Duoneb there is no point in taking Spiriva because Spiriva is related to the ipratropium that is a consitituant of Duoneb. Also Spiriva is extremely drying which may be why you are feeling so uncomfortable. To be using Duoneb five or six times a day you would have to be close to death. Obviously you aren't, so you can cut back without any problem. I have serious COPD and my use of Duoneb averages 3.5 vials daily. The big question is - how bad is your COPD?
