I've searched the web and here and no really good answer. I'm taking a Sonata about 3 or 4 oclock in the morning. It does cause some jitters next day. Now I've started Sam-e and a Super Beta Complex and the Jitters are unbearable. I take some Xanax and it helps some. I can't take much and still function. The question is ... Is it the Sam-e or the Super B Complex causing the extreme jitters or anxiety?

they have helped me out big time and this web site came from my NF doctor, oh by the way many docotrs are unaware of schwannomatosis let alone nf so make sure you go to a doctor that is knowledgable...my first neurologist ws very upfront and honest and said he wasn't comfrotable taking me on as this wasn't his area.. I was very thankful that he was upfront and honest with me, that there says alot about him..

The fact that you vomitted suggests strongly that the NF procedure ruptured. I'd check for another surgeon in the area where you live who has done this procedure many times, and get a second opinion. Endoscopy is the gold standard. Keep up informed.

Anyway, when I took it to the pharmacy, all of the medications was controlled substances, percocet, sonata, and diclofenac. I was shcoked but the pharmacist tech already scanned it and I trust the FNP. I always go to this same pharmacy and never had a problem filling my prescriptions and my disabled problem. The pharmacist was even willing to fill the diclofenac at the time. I decline and told her I would pick them up Monday when all 3 were ready and I this didn't fill right.

From that article I searched NF-kB and it got very technical after that. My understanding is that NF-kB is instrumental in helping to replicate inflammatory cells even in hep c and b to keep it chronic and is also found in cancer cells. As you have NF (saw your profile) you may want to look into Noonan syndrome as it is realted to NF and many patients have a NF/Noonan like disease (doesn't fit into either category) and Noonan syndrome has a high rate of heart defects. The reason I know all this is I to have NF with another disease which is realted to NF. A lot of research is being done in this area and it may be worth noting.

I had my NF done in 2003 after living with GERD for 4 years, also had a hiatus hernia. Inmediately after the NF my GERD sypmtoms dissapeared, I have not had to take any meds for that so I'm quite please about having it done. I was told I would be unable to vomit which was fine with me as how often does one really have to vomit, I thought. Well in the past 8 months I have had to vomit 8 times, each time taking me to the ER to get an NG tube put it as the pain is horrible.

I have a disease called Neurofibromatosis (NF 1) I have had 5 tumors removed and they came back, plus I have several more I think I am at a total of 11 now. so far they are benign. I do know they can turn malignant. I just had a spinal nerve stimulator put in the other day to help control the pain. my question is since I am now unable to get a MRI, CT or PET scan(the last PET scan never showed any of my tumors but picked up on scar tissue in my stomach.

Since yesterday I have been seeing a lot more eye floaters than usual and I am very worried about it. Im 27 & extremely nearsighted in one eye. Today I got it checked. The Dr. gave me Lutivit nf capsules. I havent been eating well lately & had stayed awake all night for a month for my exams. Could all this have resulted in the floaters?

Anyway I have been with this replaced doctor for a yr and a half, I had been explaining to him that 2 vicaprofen in a 24 hour period is not sufficient he by the way had taken me off the motrin and changed my Xanax to Ativan. I also have been on sonata 10 mg for all these yrs. I was given a urine test which is pretty normal, before I took it I told him that there would prob. not be hydrocodone in it as we had been discussing that I needed more pain relief.

Lol I had a blast my two Lil boys were bat man and robin and me and my nf matched he was bat man and I was robin so much fun trick or treating and watching them have a blast :)

I have a real problem with insomnia I went to the doctor last week and got Sonata for sleep and I asked for clonadine because I knew that I would be out of pills this week and would be having w/d sysptoms. He did not want to give me that he gave me klonapin instead.. I have not told him I have a problem with pills. The sonata is not working for my insomnia so I have made an another appt to see him this week to see if I can get the clonadine.
