skelaxin

Avatar m tn My pain clinic is no longer writing for soma. I have had flexeril, robaxin, skelaxin before and they aren't as effective. What can I try?
Avatar f tn Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!
Avatar m tn My doc just gave me Skelaxin for my back pain and said it might help. I have been trying to cut back taking hydro and I don't want to take anything that is going to make me woosey. I started into therapy last week and it is really making my back hurt. The nurosurgeon I saw said I have from L-1 to S-1 messed up and he does not think surgery would help any. So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.

676302 tn?1237863491 In my experience I have found Soma to be helpful as well as Skelaxin. I would have a talk with your doctor and see what he/she suggests. Good luck to you.
Avatar m tn I have taken muscle relaxers, migraine meds, prednisone (6 days) and more and more Skelaxin. I started seeing a neurologist two weeks ago and he put me on the prednisone and skelaxin he also did a MRI (w/o contrast) that came back negative.
1337734 tn?1336234591 Good question! I have spasticity but not weakness. I needed to be reminded of stretching. I take Zanaflex since Baclofen did not work in my case. I have to keep moving and exercising no matter how hard it seems. Glad to know there are others with the same issues. My Doctors act like I am weird.
Avatar f tn Same thing with having a muscle relaxer to take as needed. Flexeril, Skelaxin, Robaxin, Baclofen, or Zanaflex. This is very useful for those times with bad muscle spasms... Again...an opiate does not target spasms. An opiate just makes our brain not "care" as much. And sure, it can be a small part of one's treatment...but it should never be the main part.
Avatar n tn The following is from my surgical notes: I recently had a shoulder surgery (2 months ago), in which I had Impingement Syndrome with limited space for the rotator cuff beneath the anterolateral acromial margin and Labral Detachment. Shoulder Capsule was repaired and two sutures were placed in my shoulder towards the superior apex. I was told that the decompression was successful.
Avatar m tn I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.
703238 tn?1297098358 Zanaflex is safe as Muscle relaxers go. Are you waking becuse you are in pain from your mucles or are you just waking up and using them as a sleep aid?????
2932946 tn?1344722012 What are everyones experiences taking the muscle relaxer zanaflex?
Avatar m tn Has anyone ever taken zanaflex. Is it addictive? If so what are the W/D symptoms? I've been on 4-4mg a day for over 3 years. I really don't think that they do anything for me. I was told that they tear up your liver. Any help would be appreciated.
1168718 tn?1464983535 I also Take both baclophen & zanaflex. I was first prescibed zanaflex 4mg. 2 throughout the day & then 2 at bedtime but son found I couldn't take it this much due to the sedating effects. I took only one at night & sometimes during the day if spasms were unbearable. I recently have been a bad flare so I was prescibed baclofen which is less sedating & still take the zanaflex at bedtime.
Avatar f tn Hi, I started taking ultram for multiple vehicle injuries. Ultram didn't work, they tried Tylenol3, tylenol3 didn't work they tried hydrocodone, that didn't work..so they tried percoset 5/325 6X a day. I got used to that dose now im on 7.5/325 6x a day. The more I NEED them. The more I want them. I am definitely addicted but it is not a good addiction. I get very mean, and emotionless over nothing. I go to physical therapy 3x a week. So it is all legit.
Avatar m tn Glad avis is here to help you.. I just wanted to tell you that I did take a muscle relax, called zanaflex, and this helped me sooo much...Hot baths at night, heating pads on my legs for RLS, or you can wrap them in ace bandages...immodium, is also a great help...LOTS, or fluids... also I take it your wife knows? She can be of great support to you...If she doesn't understand are maybe wants to get on here, we can also try and help her through this..
559187 tn?1330782856 I have a question about muscle relaxants i.e baclofen, zanaflex etc. for spasms. I have spacisity (sp?) and it is so bad at night. I've been taking zanaflex (tizanidine) for awhile now but never realized that it was contributing to my sleep apnea. The nurses noticed that I was haping significant apnea when they did their nightly rounds while I was in hospital and now my daughter, who has come to help me out after getting out, says that the apnea really scares her.
Avatar m tn Zanaflex is Tizanidine which is used to relieve the spasms and increased muscle tone caused by multiple sclerosis, stroke, or brain or spinal injury. Tizanidine is in a class of medications called skeletal muscle relaxants. It works by slowing action in the brain and nervous system to allow the muscles to relax.
Avatar n tn I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know. I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".
