skelaxin

198419 tn?1360242356 Thanks you guys! I'll be talking w/ Dr today I hope. I have chosen Copaxone. With my school and ER schedule, it will fit the best. As far as the cramping goes... it has calmed down to a constant tight muscle so I think it's getting better. I'm going to request a RX for Skelaxin (Methocarbamol) to help. It's a non narcotic/sedating muscle relaxer I can take during the day. I'm also considering trying samples of that med to help w/ fatigue... Provigil?
Avatar f tn When I looked them up on line it said it was Methocarbamol or robax??? Something like that. Can anyone tell me if this is a pill used to get high? I have known him to use oxeys and morphine but have no clue what this is, and it is a huge bottel full so I don't know what it was in there for.......

Avatar m tn I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.
1351870 tn?1277732421 All I have left in my arsenal ;) is some methocarbamol - muscle relaxers... would this help with detox from anyone's experience?
Avatar n tn "Methocarbamol is one of the ancestors of meprobamate". How do they differ? Does Methocarbamol contain meprobamate?
Avatar f tn According to drugs.com, the pill you found is ‘methocarbamol’ 750 mg; the link includes an actual picture of the pill: http://www.drugs.com/imprints.php?action=search&imprint=v+4212&color=12&shape= Also, from Drugs.com: “Methocarbamol is a skeletal muscle relaxant. The precise way it works is unknown, but it is thought to depress the central nervous system. It has no direct effect on the muscle.” http://www.drugs.com/cdi/methocarbamol.
Avatar f tn hey there ive been living with my roomate for a year now and had no idea why she is always snappy and moody. she's an alcoholic on top of me just finding cocaine in her car, which she denies, i know she pops percocet and vicoden like candy, and i just found a large white pill called " methocarbamol " which i have noooo idea what it is. Now, my question for you is should i be concerned about that white pill on top of everything else??
Avatar f tn I am so glad you decided to get off of narcotics and I am hoping you are doing well. You should not have withdrawal symptoms methocarbamol. Good luck to you. Feel free to ask me any other questions if you need help.
372416 tn?1242665752 My dad was on methocarbamol for years. When he was in the army he was shot in the stomach and it came out through his spine. He had to take something everyday for it. The methoc. was the best thing for him. It didn't interefere with any of his other meds. He also took a percocet when he went to bed if he was in severe pain. It always amazed me that he took drugs like this for 40+ years and never became addicted and I became addicted after one surgery.
Avatar n tn I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know. I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".
Avatar m tn My doc just gave me Skelaxin for my back pain and said it might help. I have been trying to cut back taking hydro and I don't want to take anything that is going to make me woosey. I started into therapy last week and it is really making my back hurt. The nurosurgeon I saw said I have from L-1 to S-1 messed up and he does not think surgery would help any. So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.
Avatar f tn t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms) Thanks!
Avatar f tn oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.
Avatar m tn Medications called alpha-adrenergic blockers which help relax the muscles of the prostate gland, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory pain killers, antibiotic course because the cause may be bacterial, diazepam , methocarbamol or cyclobenzaprine, sitz baths, self-massage of the perianal area, allopurinol ,transurethral microwave thermotherapy and surgical resection of the prostate. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar m tn The muscle relaxer the dr gave me is Skelaxin. Anybody else ever try this. I read on drug ******* the reviews and some people said it really helped without making them dizzy like most of them do. Man I sure hope it helps so I can keep weening off the hydros.
Avatar m tn Anyone know anything about skelaxin? My doc just sent a script for that To my pharmacy in place of soma....
Avatar m tn Your best bet would be to ask your Vet or a Pharmacist.
450140 tn?1317947304 Today, my neuro suggested i try SKELAXIN (muscle relaxer) for the spasams I am experiencing. I will start those tomorrow. It says take 3x a day, every 8 hours. And if need be a 4th one can be taken. Does this sound right ........every 8 hours?? Please tell me what you think. I pray that everyone is doing ok. This limboland is really taking its toll on me and my family. Have not worked since Jan. that is putting a strain on us finacially. Not to mention, all the worry about my health.
Avatar n tn I have had some kind of cold/flu, sinusitis (all in one) for about three weeks. Finally I went to the doctor she prescribes antibiotics, anticough medicine etc. I also developed somehow a muscle spams around my neck aparently due to excesive coughing. The pain became the worst ever to the point of tears. The doctor prescribed skelaxin 800mg, it didn't help, then I added 400mg Advil.. The pain somehow got better, but still there. So Went for Motrin 800mg with Skelaxin, didn't help.
Avatar f tn As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.
402205 tn?1230481005 I will try to avoid them right now tho because they make me sluggish and I am already fatigued with my cut in dose of hydrocodne..anything can be abused...skelaxin is a fairly safe muscle relaxer.....
Avatar m tn Felt bump and determined was musculoskeletal. Prescribed anti-inflammatory (Naproxen) and muscle relaxer (Skelaxin). Told me to take as needed (didn’t have to take the full bottle). Took prescriptions for 4 days, Skelaxin caused stomach cramping even when taken as directed. Urine test came back cloudy with high white blood cell count. Concluded was very dehydrated and sent off for tests to determine if infection was present. Also had me go in for blood tests.
