skelaxin recommended dosage

Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!

I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.

I take Baclofen for spasticity. My initial dose was only 10mg, then I was bumped up to 30mg, and now I'm at 60mg. I think it may take a while for them to get the correct dosage set for you. You didn't say what dosage that you are on - perhaps, your current dosage just isn't enough? I'm not sure if the spasticity will ever totally go away. I know that it hasn't with me. I also tried Tizanidine (Zanaflex) and Skelaxin (not sure why this one was tried???

I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know. I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".

My doc just gave me Skelaxin for my back pain and said it might help. I have been trying to cut back taking hydro and I don't want to take anything that is going to make me woosey. I started into therapy last week and it is really making my back hurt. The nurosurgeon I saw said I have from L-1 to S-1 messed up and he does not think surgery would help any. So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.

t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms) Thanks!

oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.

After i had my youngest son, the dr phoned in some meds once i was home from the hospital and he had the dosage wrong too. The pharmacist had a sticky note on the bag and bottle and told me not to take as much as the lable said to because it could damage the liver. Just be careful and dont take as much as the bottle says to. Youre supposed to keep your aceto intake below 4,000 mg at the max for a 24 hr period.

The muscle relaxer the dr gave me is Skelaxin. Anybody else ever try this. I read on drug ******* the reviews and some people said it really helped without making them dizzy like most of them do. Man I sure hope it helps so I can keep weening off the hydros.

Today, my neuro suggested i try SKELAXIN (muscle relaxer) for the spasams I am experiencing. I will start those tomorrow. It says take 3x a day, every 8 hours. And if need be a 4th one can be taken. Does this sound right ........every 8 hours?? Please tell me what you think. I pray that everyone is doing ok. This limboland is really taking its toll on me and my family. Have not worked since Jan. that is putting a strain on us finacially. Not to mention, all the worry about my health.

Oxycodone is the next medication up or even Oxycontin in a low dosage like 10mg twice a day as this would be a bit higher strength than what you are taking now but would give you more steady pain relief throughout the day. Oxycontin is just plain Oxycodone in a long acting formula. You are also on a very low dosage of the Gabapentin. It can be dosed all the way up to 3600mg a day. Most people get relief from about 1400mg to the 2600mg range....

I posted earlier about some unusual experiences with sub but didn't give any details. My doc recommended me take either 4mg or 8 to start. I was in mild WDs, so I said I'll take 8 to make sure it would get me off those. He agreed, and said if i need more two hours later, take another. Anyway, to make a long story short, I ended up extremely sick the next day.

He advised against this but gave me a prescription of Azithromycin, with 500mg dosage twice a day for three days. In all my research online, I have read that the recommended dosage is 1g of Azithromycin taken once. Is the dosage I was prescribed as effective?

I have had some kind of cold/flu, sinusitis (all in one) for about three weeks. Finally I went to the doctor she prescribes antibiotics, anticough medicine etc. I also developed somehow a muscle spams around my neck aparently due to excesive coughing. The pain became the worst ever to the point of tears. The doctor prescribed skelaxin 800mg, it didn't help, then I added 400mg Advil.. The pain somehow got better, but still there. So Went for Motrin 800mg with Skelaxin, didn't help.

I am happy to say my blood pressure has remained very good, and there are natural bp reducers as recommended by my naturopath that I will try if I ever feel the need again. I have had a few bouts of possible a-fib, they don't bother me that much and go away when my digestion settles. I have linked this to digestion and food and controlling that has helped immensely.
