Skelaxin robaxin

Common Questions and Answers about Skelaxin robaxin

skelaxin

Avatar m tn My pain clinic is no longer writing for soma. I have had flexeril, robaxin, skelaxin before and they aren't as effective. What can I try?
Avatar f tn Same thing with having a muscle relaxer to take as needed. Flexeril, Skelaxin, Robaxin, Baclofen, or Zanaflex. This is very useful for those times with bad muscle spasms... Again...an opiate does not target spasms. An opiate just makes our brain not "care" as much. And sure, it can be a small part of one's treatment...but it should never be the main part.
Avatar m tn He put me on robaxin, 2 a day for six weeks, and said to come back in 6 weeks if it isnt better, well at first i thought it was helping, but it really isnt that much. Its only been 10 days, am i expecting too much ? Am i on the right path with this treatment ? Any suggestions ? ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY !! Best.
Avatar f tn Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!
Avatar f tn Has anybody had any success with the drug Robaxin for migraines. I was just perscribed the medicine and I would like some feeback. I so hope it works. Migraines that last for days and days are debilitating.
210982 tn?1280983895 There are many other muscle relaxers such as skelaxin and robaxin that are non addictive. Try those instead. Soma is merely a barbiturate in sheep's clothing.
Avatar f tn physical therapy, seen a chiropractor, taken 4 differed muscle relaxers (flexaril 5 and 10mg, skelaxin, robaxin, and one other that I can't remember), taken 3 different NSAIDS (ibuprofen, naproxen, and mobic), a steroid injection, and taken more percocets than I can count. The pain only occurs after I put weight on my spine, when I wake up in the morning I feel fantastic, no pain at all. But once I stand up and put weight on my spine, the pain starts.
Avatar m tn I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin. My lower back tightens up and I just need some relief. I have been taking it a bit more often than I did say 6 months ago.
Avatar n tn ve taken robaxin, soma, and flexeril and baclofen. the robaxin and baclofen were nothing regarding w/d. The soma I had alot of insomnia in the beginning and the robaxin I noticed no side effects either.
429432 tn?1343594190 I was prescribed Robaxin today because I might have pulled a muscle in my back or a pinched nerve or something, we won't know 'til the x-ray results come back. Is Robaxin addictive at all?
Avatar f tn i only take it and the robaxin at night. the robaxin only helps the pinched nerve i have in my upper back/shoulder area. it does nothing for my lower back. and thanks for all the responses. im new and really have no idea what im doing.
Avatar f tn was put on cymbalta with ultram but pharmacy would not fill because on interaction. motrin, tylenol do nothing nor do skelaxin, or robaxin. Cannot stand the stiffness pain and anxiety. I know this all sounds crazy...but i am at my wits end!!! Any help or suggestions??? Injections to get me through pt? best pill for anxiety, pain? Was given valium for spasms, does not help for that, but does calm me slightly. Ultram takes edge off.
217599 tn?1202850952 Does anyone know anything about the muscle relaxer, Robaxin? my dr. prescribed it for me, and like all others the dr's prescribe now, i like to ask in here if it has any addictive tendencies.
Avatar m tn Actual muscle relaxers work much better and target the spasms...These are either Flexeril or Amrix, Robaxin, Skelaxin, Baclofen, or Zanaflex. I'm not sure who is prescribing your meds now, but if it's not an actual Pain Mgmt. Dr...then I would suggest making an appt. with one to go over your case and see what type of comprehensive treatment plan they can provide for you. There are many modalities to use to help chronic pain if surgery is not feasible right now...
Avatar n tn I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know. I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".
Avatar m tn I recently discovered a bottle of methocarbomal also known as robaxin i was prescribed like 5 years ago and had read that this stuff can help ease the achiness of withdrawal. My question is, will it help ease the pain and is it still even good after 5 years? I also may be getting some tramadol tomorrow to help with the withdrawal as well...can these be taken together? Thank you for ur help!
Avatar m tn My doc just gave me Skelaxin for my back pain and said it might help. I have been trying to cut back taking hydro and I don't want to take anything that is going to make me woosey. I started into therapy last week and it is really making my back hurt. The nurosurgeon I saw said I have from L-1 to S-1 messed up and he does not think surgery would help any. So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.
Avatar f tn I have recently been prescribed to Robaxin, Vicodin and Gabapentin for back pain/sciatica. Anyone have experience with these meds?
Avatar f tn t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms) Thanks!
Avatar f tn oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.
Avatar m tn i think zanaflex may be the same as Robaxin......The robaxin worked great, but gave me such a bad rash.....I can't take it....unfortunately.......
Avatar n tn I went to the doctor today because I was having sinus problems and I also got my Robaxin raised to max strength 4 per day. I was taking 2. The doctor said only take 4 when the pain is worse on some days. Well I took 2 pills at 3pm and 2 more at 7-8 because I wanted to go to bed early. Now my heart is kind of pounding fast... I have had this before when NOT on Robaxin once or twice, not often. I keep shaking my leg as I am writing this and my heart seems to be beating fast, so I am not tired.
Avatar m tn The muscle relaxer the dr gave me is Skelaxin. Anybody else ever try this. I read on drug ******* the reviews and some people said it really helped without making them dizzy like most of them do. Man I sure hope it helps so I can keep weening off the hydros.
Avatar m tn Anyone know anything about skelaxin? My doc just sent a script for that To my pharmacy in place of soma....
450140 tn?1317947304 Today, my neuro suggested i try SKELAXIN (muscle relaxer) for the spasams I am experiencing. I will start those tomorrow. It says take 3x a day, every 8 hours. And if need be a 4th one can be taken. Does this sound right ........every 8 hours?? Please tell me what you think. I pray that everyone is doing ok. This limboland is really taking its toll on me and my family. Have not worked since Jan. that is putting a strain on us finacially. Not to mention, all the worry about my health.
Avatar f tn I am very sore today and hurting. I have been taking ibuprofen but today its not working. I have a curve in spine that pushes on muscles and causes them to hurt. I am try to figure out if I am just hurting of from the stopping of pain pills. I went to my doc last week and he did give an antiflammotory and a non-addictive muscle relaxer when I told him of my issues with lorcets. I have yet to get these filled but wondering if I should.
