Having some very bad lower back pain today that tylenol isn't touching. I was wondering about Skelaxin. I have some and have taken it in the past...but don't even remember side effects or how I felt taking it or anything. Is this addictive?Anybody know anything about it? Thanks!
t take during the day,as I have small kids and it made me VERY sleepy!) Then I was put on Skelaxin and I feel like that does nothing( 800mg. 3x day) I could take 2 at one time and still...nothing? I think I'm going to ask to go back on Flexeril(for bed time) to reduce my pain and spasms)

However, Italian researchers have found that the LD50 (the lethal dose at which half of the animals die) of glucosamine sulfate is 8000 mg/kg. In humans this would be equivalent to ingesting over 500,000 mg at one time or 1,000 pills each containing 500 mg.
I hope this is useful... I got the idea from the site that max safe dose is 1500mg, and your dog had twice that much. You may want to see the vet anyway, even tho it says in the previous paragraph that a lethal dose is 8000mg.
I like to know as much as I can about my meds. I know the lethal dose of lithium is about 5gs or 5000mgs which is about 5 times what I am prescribed. I also have looked up the symptoms of lithium toxicity (not fun). But I can't seem to fine anywhere how long after a lethal amount or a small overdose (such as 1 accidental extra dose) on top of toxicity symptoms would start to show or when death would take place. So my question is when would symptoms begin to show and when would death occur.
Anyone know anything about skelaxin? My doc just sent a script for that To my pharmacy in place of soma....
As the result of a back injury in February, I began taking Soma and 10 mgs of hydrocodone at night to help me sleep. I took no pain killers during the day, just Skelaxin. I stopped taking Skelaxin several weeks ago and am now in the process of discontinuing the Hydrocodone. I took the last Soma and 1/2 of a 5 mg tablet several nights ago. This is my second round with trying to get off this med. The problem is the insomnia or sleeplessness that occurs in the middle of the night.
can i take 4mg xanax at asingle dose ? my dr didnt prescribe the 4mg at once but i had severe insomnia so i took them in a single dose is this dangerous?

With methadone ,as well as other drugs,one persons dose could cause another persons death.Perhaps some more information would help.Why was your son in detox,what was he addicted to? Was he on methadone prior to going and if he was how long was he on it? What do you mean by the doctor misread the labs and started him out on triple the amount?How high was his dose? Was he on any other med prior to and during his stay in detox?
I don't think that amount of wine alone would elevate you enzymes but with the drugs you're taking I really don't know.
I believe that Skelaxin may be associated with elevated liver enzymes is some people but again, I am not sure of this. I would Google all of the drugs you're taking with the word "liver" or "hepatic" eg "Skelaxin Liver".
50mg/2X-day (100mg/daily)
Day 1 –25mg/3xday (75mg/daily)

These two days seemed to be ok but I was anxious right before it was time to take the next dose. Each dose is about 6 hours apart, so the biggest gap in my dosages was after a night of sleeping..which is 8hours..always woke up reaching for the pill, first thing...but then again..it's always been that way.
Day 3 - 12.5mg/5xday (62.5mg/daily)
Day 4 –12.5mg/5xday (62.5mg/daily)

not really..skelaxin is not sedating as a rule..i am glad ur klonopin dose is not high...but possibly the reason u can not sleep is because of the adderall/as it is an amphetamine...u r taking sumpin to get u hyped up..then u r having to take sumpin to slow u down so u can sleep...do u see the cycle here?
A muscle relaxer like zanaflex, baclofen, flexeril..many more can help right now..skelaxin may help a bit tho if u dont have the others...do u have any phenergan?
My doc just gave me Skelaxin for my back pain and said it might help. I have been trying to cut back taking hydro and I don't want to take anything that is going to make me woosey. I started into therapy last week and it is really making my back hurt. The nurosurgeon I saw said I have from L-1 to S-1 messed up and he does not think surgery would help any. So he just said take the hydro because your not taking that many (only 3 a day 7.
What your describing is not methadone withdrawals and that is a HUGE amount of clonapine
dont know if thats enough to make him act the way he is or he might very well be mixing it with something else.....the clonipine at that dose is lethal and if he got pulled over by the cops he would not be able to pass a sobriety test.....
oh and broke down and took a muscle relaxer. skelaxin. this shouldn't be a problem right? found an old script. ibuprofen was not cutting it.
I think the Xanax would just put you to sleep, that's a fairly high dose.
