Does anyone know if dry mouth is a side effect of melatonin supplements. If so how long would this side effect last after discontinuation?

I have not taken simavastatin for 4 days and I am still suffering panic attacks mainly morning and the evening. I read somewhere it takes 10 days to get out of the liver.

Typically Simvastatin is prescribed at 40mg but can be prescribed as high as 80mg daily but that will increase the risk of side effects. I would communicate new side effects with your doctor but try to push past the first few weeks, side effects should go away but be careful to report new issues.

Reading these posts, I agree that the dry mouth is a real big one, I HAD to have a bottle of water at all times! Brain fog... yes. Dry skin... yes, I was so lucky to have a loving husband who applied lotion along with a head to toe body massage almost every night after things started getting to the point where I was too sick to do much of anything. Rinse mouth with Biotene dry mouth rinse. It works quite well.

Actually, Lipitor is much stronger than Simvastatin and has a much higher incidence of side effects, unless I have missed some new data. According to the links I have Simvastatin is the safest statin on the market.

I know Abilify like all antipsychotics can cause anti-cholinergic side effects (although less so then other antipsychotics) which include dry mouth and urinary retention. Sometimes some of the side effect pills used to treat the motor restlessness from it such as the anti-cholinergics (Cogentin, Artane, etc.) can make that worse. That might be one cause but generally its not so severe. Your psychiatrist should be able to explain what happened though.

I would say his side effects since finishing incivek include itching (no rash), fatigue, some weakness/shortness of breath, fatigue, dry mouth/metallic taste in mouth, and insomnia. Have you been on Simvastatin long? Side effects normally do not start after 90 days of use. Your other drugs may be causing the problem, especially the Neurontin which has concentration problems as a main side effect which can get worse the longer you take it. If you feel it is the Simvastatin, you can always ask your doctor about going off of it for a short while to see if it improves. This is a rare side effect of Simvastatin so I would look elsewhere for the problem.

I am also experiencing sores and problems in my mouth. The doctor says that this is also a side effect to the medicine.
