i m on simvastatin 40mg 1 every evening. i have noticed memory loss, i keep forgetting little things like where i kept my shoes or medicines and choice of correct words while speaking,
also when i m driving i lose direction sometimes to my home. i m also suffering from bi lateral TN, high bp and enlarged prostrate and multiple gall bladder polyps. i m on carbamezapine 200mg & neurontin 300mg twice a day of each.
Am experiencing shortness of breath, lightheadedness, arrythmias, and feeling very tired at times I have memory loss and confusion. I am on flecanide and metoporol. I had flu in October and also put on simvastatin symptoms of junctional rhythm started in same time frame. Do I have cardiomyopathy? And how serious is all this. Ep showed great arteries and I've stopped simvastatin as I thought this might be the problem with junctional rhythm.

My father is 83 yrs old, in excellent health (only takes 40mg of simvastatin a day). Can someone explain what, if any, evidence there for a switch from simvastatin to pravastatin? My husband's doctor said there is new evidence that simvastatin may be detrimental. I have been taking simvastatin for three weeks since having a Tia but have also had a flu like cold for ten days , I am still having aching flu like pains which I would have thought would have passed by now . I don't know if this is a side effect of the drug I'm taking 40mg a day but feel really achy will this pass .
in 1998. she is now struggling with memory loss tremors, walking vision etc. she is now age 65. her doctor has her on25mg toprol, 40mg simvastatin, 25mg levothyroxin,and 2.5mg ambeim. her neurologist has her on depakote er 500mg once per day and 10mg namenta twice per day. seems to me that the side effects of most of the doctor's meds.

I'm losing hair too. Not in clumps but I clog the drain once a week from my hair loss. And all my friends said their hair was so full and healthy during pregnancy and after lost some. I get a ball of hair during evey wash and its not normal for me also my scalp itches like crazy and I don't have bugs lol o had my husband check lol!
