Avatar f tn the most common side effects of simvastatin are headache, abdominal pain/cramps, constipation, URTI, flatulence, diarrhea, asthenia, nausea and vomiting, dyspepsia, myalgia, rash/pruritus(itching). make sure you do not take with grapefruit juice, report any signs and symptoms of infections, unexplained muscle pain, tenderness/weekness. i hope this helps!!! this all i know about the med.

Avatar m tn First, remember that cholesterol is not a total bad bay. Your body produces it because it is a useful substance for you. It is essential for brain and nerve function (and therefore, ultimately muscle). You must know the value of HDL since you want to raise it. Anything below 100 is usually "normal" for LDL. Different doctors seem to have different standards for what they deem acceptable. I'll leave that there.

I would communicate new side effects with your doctor but try to push past the first few weeks, side effects should go away but be careful to report new issues.

Doctor put me on 10 MG Lisinopril. I took the tab for 5 days on the fifth day my heart was pounding so hard in my chest and i felt like someone was sitting on my chest. This happened a few more time over the next week and it would go away after a few min.
