This combination is sometimes used with a stomach acid reducer called lansoprazole.

Avatar m tn Take the Agumentin (amoxicillin and clav) with a full glass of water when you take it and try to have food with it. That helps with stomach issues. They do often use that dose BID, or twice a day (12 hours) but TID is also done. The issue is that teeth are close to the brain, right? Dentists do not play around when knocking out an infection. Avatar f tn I dont think that amoxicillin is the reason. By the way green stool in babies is almost normal and it might be because of fast movement of the stool in the bowel that it has no enough time to turn brown. Stools in origin are geen because of the bile secreted in it but in the bowel it turns brown. So it might be because he didnt eat enough the past days but be careful that he has no diarrhea. and if this persist u may contact his doctor.

Avatar f tn I want to be responsible and get tested if I need to. What should I test for? I have even thought about a home testing kit for chlamydia and gonorrhoea to save the embarrassment of going to a clinic (I am in a relationship!), but this is pricey. Please help.
Avatar m tn I have been repeatedly prescribed amoxicillin to fight a bacterial infection. I had difficulty figuring out that I was having an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin because many of the symptoms (abdominal pain and swollen glands) were similar to the original infection and the more classis symptoms (tching and hives) didn't appear until after I had finished my third prescription. My question? Is amoxicillin less effective in fighting an infection if you are allergic to the antibiotic?

I haven't slept well at all the last two nights and I need some rest.
Avatar m tn You can't transmit infections by sharing food from the same plate. Have you actually followed up with your doctor after taking the antibiotics? I think that's what you should do. You've taken a lot of different things that are not working, and I think it's time to see your doctor. I don't think this is an STD.
