I'm a 29 year old male and I have been having more of a discomfort than pain in my left side below my ribcage. Occasionally it's a little painful, but it's a dull pain. I'm starting to get a little worried about pancreatitis after some online research. It's been going on and off for years. I used to abuse alcohol, but have been relatively clean for over a year, with a few relapses here and there. Could this be something like pancreatitis or something else?
I'm having severe stomach cramps on the lower left side of my stomach. It hurts so much that I can hardly move and they're not going away. AF finished over a week ago (I'm on CD11). Ever since AF finished I've been having cramps in the right side of my stomach, and in my upper and lower stomach everyday. However they changed sides this afternoon and have become really painful. I've also have a really windy rumbly stomach. Are any of these symptons a sign of pregnancy?
In mid April I started having abdominal pain on the left side. The pain was mainly right below my rib cage and on the lower left side. I also had some small bursts of pain by my heart and on the lower right side, where my large intestine starts. The pain would worsen when I ate and would practically go away when I passed a stool. And when I was hungry my stomach would start to tighten up.
I am being treated for ibs, stomach and esophagal ulcers, severe internal hemmorrhoids, had colon polyps removed, and acid reflux. I have moderate to severe pain in left side from bottom of ribcage down to waist. Am being told it is from ibs. Am currently taking skelaxin, dicyclomine, benefiber, mirolax, pantoprazole. Left side pain is not improving and may be getting worse. Need answers to this pain. What could be the cause?
Sometimes it feel as as though I have torn my rectal area as I can see blood on but not in my stool. After about 20-30 minutes the attack subsides and I am left exhausted. Then the pain disappears however my stomach muscles are tender. I wonder if I have colitis or Cohn's. I definitely see these symptoms.
Since about 8th grade, i have off and o experienced severe lower left side pain. I am 23 now, and 5 years removed from high school and now I am in college. It was progressed over time from hurting just once or twice every few mnths to hurting just about every day. This pain does not get better or worse regardless of my body position. However i have found that if i roll up a pillow, fold it in half and lay on it, the pain becomes far worse, but it makes it feel beter much faster.
on the third day, the incision broke open (no infection) starting on the left side, but the wound leaked a lot for 3 weeks , then it took about 3 months for the incision to fully heal. For a while I had pain in the left side whenever I went for the prone position. That is almost all gone now. However, if I pick up a heavy object, the left side seems very sore and sensitive ( the skin seems sensitized ) and there is pain.
ve woken up in the morning with severe abdominal pain in my right side, almost like menstrual cramps but burning, and a dull ache on the right side of my back. The pain brings me to tears and I need a hot water bottle and two panadols to ease the pain. It's never happened after drinking before, only the two times. Help!
But even before that i have had this pain in my lower left side of my stomach. I have had tests done and they have found nothing. The pain comes and goes. Usually after i eat something and walk around it gets very painful. I no there is obviously something going on. i just don't understand why they can't find anything. Could you possibly give me some answers?
Basically my condition has gotten worse since the surgery and really cant tell if my problems are due from the surgery or something that could have been missed from the original complaint of having pain on the left side. Lately i battle bouts of severe diarrhea at times and then a couple days later i will battle with severe constipation. No early signs of early colon cancer in family just some polyps in uncles and father who are in their 50's.

i am 33 weeks pregnant and i am experiencing a severe pain in my uper left side of my stomach and its very tender like if yhu rub your hand across it it will hurt an i cant lay on my lsft side at all an it hurts wen i raise up or try and change sides an it even hurts when i sneeze and cough and i hav a bit ov a cold so i hav ben doing alot of that.
Hi I am 33 y/o male. I've had left side pain (front near ribs/side) for the past 3 months now. The pain comes and goes, seems like it gets worse after I eat too much, sit in certain positions, lie in certain positions etc. CBC and urinalysis are normal. Ultrasound of stomach area didn't find anything abnormal.
What could this be? If it is muscle strain how come it isn't getting any better? Are there other explanations?
I tried eating some cheese dip a month ago and woke up in extreme pain on my right side that spread across my stomach, threw up and had to go to the ER. The dr swore it was my gallbladder but all tests (blood, ultrasound and HIDA scan) were normal. I tried eating 1 cookie 2 weeks ago with my egg whites and woke up with the same pain just not as severe but I didn't throw up this time. Now I hurt all day long (right middle side).
I have recently stopped taking all pain medication and I feel everything. The lower left quadrant pain, upped left quadrant pain, and the upper right quadrant pain from the removal of my gallbladder. I experienced hot flashes and cold chills last night. This morning I had cold chills so bad that I had three blankets on, a hat, hoodie, and winter jacket on inside my house with the thermostat at 73 degrees. It took me over 4 hours to warm up.

Hi there, I am 33 and about 5 years ago I was working out hard and doing a lot of sit ups and all the sudden in one week I had a herpes out break (first time ever but impossible since I was not active for over a year), a prostate infection (could not urinate at all, and severe constipation along with leg pain.
with my mom they treated her with a course of antibitics and it cleared up for her... but her pain was a little more localized. i get pain on my left side too, initially they checked my heart but nothing was found... they determined it to be costochondritis though that usually effects the sternum. they treated it with anti inflamitories.. it seems though in my case that the pain is associated to my stomach , my pain travels into my left armpit as well..
The problem i am having is the pain is getting worse and worse, this evenign it is really painful my stomach is very bloated and the pain is all through my stomach and back i feel sick but havent been sick yet. Im unsure what to do should i go to the emergency doctors surgery? can anyone give some adivse/tips on easing the pain as pain killers arent working.
