Common Questions and Answers about Select comfort sleep number bed

sleep

Avatar f tn Has anyone found a good bed? I have so many tenderpoints, especially my hips. I had a select comfort and it didn't really help. I also bought a comfort ewe, and it helps very little.
Avatar f tn You're not supposed to sleep on your back when you are in the third trimester because it cuts off blood and oxygen to baby.
Avatar m tn A muscle relaxant at night may reduce muscle tension in the mornings. Simple back stretches before going to bed and in bed in the am before getting out of bed are helpful.
Avatar m tn Has anyone here tried the select-comfort bed? They are the ones that you pump air into it to your own comfort. Recommended for couples so you can adjust to your firmness. My sister has one and loves it. These beds obviously are not cheap but alot of us would probably be willing to sacrafice something else for a good night's sleep! I have a memory foam topper for several years and it does work for me, but sometime in the future I will be needing a new mattress.
1687929 tn?1319426011 A Sleep Number bed maybe...those are expensive though. For me the pillow matters more than the bed.
Avatar f tn I'm 45 years old an had bypass surgery 8 weeks ago. I haven't been able to sleep without an Ambien(sleeping pill) for the last 5 weeks. I was wondering how long it may be before I can sleep without a pill. I'm currently taking Toprol, Iron, 81 Asprin, Plavix, Primovel and Lipitor. My doctor wants to change my Lipitor to Vytorin. I have heard the Vyrotin doesn't work. Any thoughts? Also how long do the grafts last in your heart? Mine were taken out of my leg.
Avatar n tn I sleep on my back legs chris crossed Indian style with a pillow under them to help bring my legs closer to my belly, sitting up a little cause of the bad acid reflux
Avatar f tn Not this girl all I wanta do is sleep sleep everyone wants to party for holiday weekend I just can't do it so here I am home :) wouldn't wanna be anywhere else
Avatar f tn s pretty much the only way I can fall asleep. My question is is it safe to sleep on my stomach for right now until I start getting bigger?
Avatar m tn I was recommended by my physical therapist to get a Sleep Number bed as opposed to a Memory foam because you can set how firm or soft you want it. I got my Sleep Number bed last November, and when I don't sleep on it (on vacation, at my parent's house), I definitely see a difference and I long for MY bed. Sometimes they have factory sales, and we got ours for like 30% off.
Avatar n tn Good advice by Mark. I would add (although this depends if you are staying on campus or at home). Using the bed only for sleep. Don't read, watch tv or anything else in bed. Relaxing music or white noise is usually ok and many times helpful. If you are sharing a dorm room - then you might want to try ear plugs and a sleep mask. Overall, I kinda of think it would still be better to get 3 or so hours of sleep (with a real LOUD alarm clock), then no sleep.
Avatar f tn Also I typically sleep on the couch instead of the bed now, with a rigged comfort system made of 267368 pillows. But honestly all efforts are futile. And the dreams only got weirder and more vivid the further along I got. Good luck, dear.
Avatar n tn I have a 2yr old that I have to have her next to me or I can't sleep. I know the feeling. Ive tried to break the habit of her sleeping in the bed with us but I can't do it. I'm 16w with baby #2 and I feel like I'm gonna need a bigger bed cause that ones probably gonna be sleeping with me to, I'm hoping I can start that one sleeping by themselves but I don't think I'll be able to.
557490 tn?1326793583 I doubt there is, but reflux is a tricky thing, and the number one reason babies do not sleep well. Breastfed and cluster feed babies are really dependent on their moms for comfort, so I suspect this is the issue. If Dad is around, perhaps he can do some night consoling...he may not be able to console her at first, and she'll be mad, but at least you will know she is being tended to, and she will learn not to be so dependent on you at night. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I'm a little over 7 weeks pregnant, and I know it's normal to be tired at this point but I literally sleep 10+ hours a day and still feel tired and sluggish. I work 8.
983679 tn?1276833336 discomfort was no SLEEP. I am normally a very sleepy head always have been so when this happen like to drove me crazy. It was awful. Comfort: few things hot baths, pitch black room comfy bed lots pillows even though couldn't sleep felt great lay in.
Avatar n tn Im 13weeks pregnant and really havent been getting any sleep for the pass two days and right now i cant sleep is this normal
Avatar f tn t have one now try the old pillow between the legs, cool dark room, warm bath before bed in lavender bubble bath(lavender promotes sleep). No caffine 3 hours before bed and eat something with a carbohydrates close to bed like crackers and milk. The carbs close to bed make you relax as well. Good luck.
3858871 tn?1363229660 So my baby is now 2 weeks old and I am having a problem with getting her to stay asleep in her bassinet. During the day she will sleep in it for about an hour to an hour and a half at a time but once it's evening time, she will only stay asleep in there for about 15-20 minutes and that's it. Nighttime is the worst and I eventually have to put her in the bed with us, which is what I don't want. Does anyone ave any suggestions or advice? I would gladly appreciate it.
428506 tn?1296557399 I bought a top of the line Sleep Number bed. They make you keep it for 30 days & I couldn't wait for the 30 days to end. If it is soft enough to help with pressure points of fibro it bottoms out. Otherwise you are just back to sleeping on a firm bed. Worst bed I have ever tried. I now have a latex bed (which was @ the same price as the Sleep Number) & I continue to have pressure points. Thinking very seriously about a water bed now.
Avatar f tn It hurt so bad to turn and to actually get out of the bed. Sleep and I have a love hate relationship right now! Not sure why it hurt so bad. This is baby number 4 for me and it seem like each pregnancy worsened.
184674 tn?1360860493 You can now select "normal" as a sleep quality instead of Good or Bad. Thanks for the suggestion!
Avatar m tn Congrats on day 7, sleep is hard to come by at first. what are you taking to sleep? glad your feeling a bit better now.
