This can cause bloating of stomach and consequent breathlessness. Check with your doctor for adequate control of asthma. Ventolin or salbutamol is a rescue inhaler, that means you take this when you have an episode of Asthma. There are reliever inhalers which work for up to 12 hours after taking each dose. I was born with eczema and I started to have bronchospasm few years ago. The doc said it might be asthma and prescribed me with salbutamol. However, i found that I don't have the common syptoms as asthmatic people .e.g wheezing or coughing, and it doesn't disturb my sleeping as well. I just feel the bronchi contract and chest tightness which go away after few minutes later without taking the inhaler. I've taken the inhaler before but i found it no use, so i didn't use it anymore.

If you are continuing to have breathlessness, then you may need additional inhalers like ventolin, which contains salbutamol, which is short acting and helps relieve bronchospasm. It would be best to consult your doctor regarding persisting symptoms, he may prescribe additional inhalers or he may change the dose of the steroid inhaler.

I am 19 wks pregnant and suffer from terrible allergies this time of yr and have to use salbutamol 100micrograms inhaler. I use it up to 3 times a day. My midwife is uncertain if I can use this while pregnant and I have read up on possible effects to the baby and I am terrified. Has anyone used this while pregnant??

Tonight I started to have an asthma attack so I took a puff and felt it hit my tongue. I figured I gave myself a bad dose so I took another. Now I feel jittery and I'm having palpitations.. on the bright side I can breathe now

I am a 21 year old male living in Toronto, Ontario and do not smoke. I have severe allergies to most trees. For the past 6 years I have developed a chronic dry cough in the fall season until it snows in the winter. When I blow my nose, there is a sticky white mucus that comes out. I have been told by the allergist that this is asthma and allergies. I am taking 2 puffs of QVAR in the morning and night, half a tablet of reactine and singular at night, and Avamys in the morning.
I took her to the doctor who prescribed her Salbutamol cough syrup 3.5 mg 3 times a day saying that she has wheezing. Is it safe? It is not releiving the cough at all, already tried for one and half day. It is about the same.

then went to 900 mgs once aday..within 1 month i went toxic..went threw alot with it in the i.cu. for 3 days......WHAT IM ASKING?? I had stridor 7 hours ago and rushed to hospital as I cannot have salbutamol. I had adrenaline IM and also nebulised. 7 Hours later my heart rate is still sitting at 120 at rest and I have tingling in my fingers and hands, waves on pain in my left chest (that I had at hospital nothing showed on ecg), and short of breath. Should I be worried????
The result was non reactive. I inhale sometimes salbutamol because I have asthma. Do you think it can alter the result of the test?
