Common Questions and Answers about Salbutamol neb drug study

Avatar f tn I was born with eczema and I started to have bronchospasm few years ago. The doc said it might be asthma and prescribed me with salbutamol. However, i found that I don't have the common syptoms as asthmatic people .e.g wheezing or coughing, and it doesn't disturb my sleeping as well. I just feel the bronchi contract and chest tightness which go away after few minutes later without taking the inhaler. I've taken the inhaler before but i found it no use, so i didn't use it anymore.
Avatar f tn Unfortunately, some individuals develop allergy to the ipritropium in the Duo-neb or to Spiriva and the drug simply irritates the membranes of the mouth allowing the thrush to take hold. That you also develop candidiasis under your breasts suggests that you might, for some reason be predisposed to this infectious agent. One possible approach would be to use some type of Spacer device, to be placed between your inhalers and your mouth. Wish I could be more helpful.
Avatar n tn yea but it uses alot of oxygen to use it for that....i think it needs set at like 10 L/M.
Avatar m tn The result was non reactive. I inhale sometimes salbutamol because I have asthma. Do you think it can alter the result of the test?

Avatar n tn Hi, my GP has changed my meds today from seravent, becotide and salbutamol to Symbicort turbohaler. I have never used a turbohaler before and am finding it really hard to "suck" the drug into me! I have read the instructions and followed them to the letter but it just seems really difficult to suck through. Is this normal? or could the turbohaler be faulty? Also does it matter if i hear 2 clicks when loading? Please help as really need it to work!
Avatar f tn My doctor has me using the neb more than an inhaler. I am to use my inhaler only when I absolutely cannot use my neb or for very minor issues. Personally, I find it is MUCH more effective. The nebulizer produces a much finer mist than what comes out of an inhaler enabling it to get deeper into the lungs. I know of some people that have purchased small, purse sized nebs to use instead of using an inhaler at all.
1344892 tn?1276541735 i did take my salbutamol reliever inhaler when this first happened but found it made me feel worse. i have not taken my reliever for 3 days now. please help me i am feeling really unwell. thank you.
Avatar f tn The ER docs are always a bit alarmed by it and keep me a little longer than normal just to make sure I am ok. I now do neb treatments at home regularly and my resting heartrate stays close to 120 almost all the time, except I suppose at night when I go more than a few hours without a neb treatment. As you can imagine having a high heartrate all the time is quite uncomfortable and I do not sleep easily or well.
Avatar m tn The drug is albuterol side note..
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with acute bronchitus and also had an asthma attack on top of it which made my breathing verrrry difficult. I was given Z pack, pretnezone. And took 2 nebulizer treatments there. I have a neb at home. I have been taking the medicine as directed. And doing my neb every 4 hrs. I am becoming MORE and MORE wheezy. Throughout the day 4 times I have been coughing up green with red brownish sputum.
Avatar n tn I decided it was my atrovent neb (an anticholinergic like Spiriva). My allergist thought it was my Dulera (inhaled combination med like Advair). I eliminated the atrovent and reduced my Dulera and the laryngitis healed. She needs to discus any changes in dosage with her doctor before making changes. I had already been discussing the changes with my doctor as my asthma had become much better controlled. I just pushed up the timeline on one and she made the other. God bless.
Avatar m tn can i give salbutamol in 1st trimister thretened abortion?
Avatar f tn I would like to ask if the ipratropium inhaler is available with the combination of salbutamol and what brand?
Avatar n tn I was recently put on a drug that had had a recent epidemiological (SP?) study that demonstrated a link to cancer. I forget which type. He said that it was absurd to think that a five year study could demonstrate such a link, that it takes longer for a drug to cause cancer. I have to assume that he also thinks its absurd to think that it would only take five years for a drug to cause a cancer that was 'dormant' to become active (detectable). Do you agree?
Avatar n tn I have severe asthma AND VCD. I was recently started on CPAP for a mild case of sleep apnea. I hate it! I can't breathe with the machine on and it gives me headaches. I'm not sleeping any better with it than I was without it. I'm still waking up at least once per night needing to do a neb treatment. I also have fibromyalgia and PD, so I'm up several times per night due to pain, which the CPAP doesn't help.
Avatar n tn if so does your wife have a genetic disorder it would be the BRACA 1 or 2 if she does then she would have a good chance of getting on the phase2 trials of a pharp inhibitor drug called OLAPARIB thIs is a wonder drug as far as i am concerned i have been on it for two years under the phase ! trials the trials are coming out of the royal marsden in surrey< under dr de bono, I SUGGEST YOU SPEAK TO YOUR DR TO SEE IF YOU CAN GET REFERED . bEST WISHES.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know anything about RO5024048, a drug for HCV made by Roche? I have been asked to participate in the study. Any info is appreciated.
Avatar f tn I am 19 wks pregnant and suffer from terrible allergies this time of yr and have to use salbutamol 100micrograms inhaler. I use it up to 3 times a day. My midwife is uncertain if I can use this while pregnant and I have read up on possible effects to the baby and I am terrified. Has anyone used this while pregnant??
Avatar f tn It has had (VX 950) a really good track record so far but also is not perfect as their are reports of severe rashes and some evidence of viral mutations in the earlier trials. Being it is in phase 3 with a large group to study the picture will get a little clearer on that drug. I hope that helps and good luck in your decision just think long and hard about it first.
Avatar f tn also breaks it down, TOBI for my pseudomonas (if you culture pseudo, this might be a good drug for you, it is a nebulized form of tobramycin, I rotate 28 days on and 28 days off..it does a fairly good job at keeping my pseudo at bay) as well as pulmicort and Xopenex. Lots of nebs....I used to use mucomyst nebs but I found them to be too irritating and caused my airways to spasm even though I used Xopenex with the nebs. About your initial post...
