Avatar m tn The result was non reactive. I inhale sometimes salbutamol because I have asthma. Do you think it can alter the result of the test?
Avatar f tn I was born with eczema and I started to have bronchospasm few years ago. The doc said it might be asthma and prescribed me with salbutamol. However, i found that I don't have the common syptoms as asthmatic people .e.g wheezing or coughing, and it doesn't disturb my sleeping as well. I just feel the bronchi contract and chest tightness which go away after few minutes later without taking the inhaler. I've taken the inhaler before but i found it no use, so i didn't use it anymore.
Avatar n tn Hi, my GP has changed my meds today from seravent, becotide and salbutamol to Symbicort turbohaler. I have never used a turbohaler before and am finding it really hard to "suck" the drug into me! I have read the instructions and followed them to the letter but it just seems really difficult to suck through. Is this normal? or could the turbohaler be faulty? Also does it matter if i hear 2 clicks when loading? Please help as really need it to work!

Avatar f tn I would like to ask if the ipratropium inhaler is available with the combination of salbutamol and what brand?
Avatar n tn I was recently put on a drug that had had a recent epidemiological (SP?) study that demonstrated a link to cancer. I forget which type. He said that it was absurd to think that a five year study could demonstrate such a link, that it takes longer for a drug to cause cancer. I have to assume that he also thinks its absurd to think that it would only take five years for a drug to cause a cancer that was 'dormant' to become active (detectable). Do you agree?

Avatar f tn I am 19 wks pregnant and suffer from terrible allergies this time of yr and have to use salbutamol 100micrograms inhaler. I use it up to 3 times a day. Avatar f tn It has had (VX 950) a really good track record so far but also is not perfect as their are reports of severe rashes and some evidence of viral mutations in the earlier trials. Being it is in phase 3 with a large group to study the picture will get a little clearer on that drug. I hope that helps and good luck in your decision just think long and hard about it first.
956931 tn?1271636169 The first arm will receive 100 mg of the study drug for 12 weeks and a placebo for the remaining 36 weeks. The second arm will receive 150 mg of the study drug for 12 weeks and a placebo for the rest, and so on. Each arm is different. Neither I nor the doctors or nurses conducting the study know which arm I am in. Only the drug company knows. I won't find out until the end of the study.

Avatar n tn Hi all, I am a 21 year old male living in Toronto, Ontario and do not smoke. I have severe allergies to most trees. For the past 6 years I have developed a chronic dry cough in the fall season until it snows in the winter. When I blow my nose, there is a sticky white mucus that comes out. I have been told by the allergist that this is asthma and allergies. I am taking 2 puffs of QVAR in the morning and night, half a tablet of reactine and singular at night, and Avamys in the morning.
Avatar f tn I took her to the doctor who prescribed her Salbutamol cough syrup 3.5 mg 3 times a day saying that she has wheezing. Is it safe? It is not releiving the cough at all, already tried for one and half day. It is about the same.
Avatar n tn This feels different and a salbutamol inhaler is not effective. I do Wim Hof Method breathing each morning and have been able to continue it despite the tight chest. Respiratory rate is 15 breaths/min, breathing nasally. I don't have any anxieties or worries, although this discomfort is becoming one. I have read that you can have symptoms of anxiety without knowing what you could be anxious about, but this makes it quite hard to resolve.
Avatar f tn For the last 16 week I have been in a Roche trial using Pegasys/Copegus with a polymerase inhibitor called RO4588161. Today I was informed to stop taking the RO study drug due to safety concerns. RATS!!!! I have been UND since week 6 and they will continue me on SOC.

Avatar f tn An MRA can provide significant antihypertensive benefit when added to existing multi-drug regimens. In a small study of patients taking an average of four anti-hypertensive medications, adding a MRA lowered blood pressure on average by an additional 25 mm Hg systolic and 12 mm Hg diastolic. Multi-drug regimens: “It seems most appropriate to continue to combine agents of different mechanisms of action,” the group wrote.
