The barber changed the blade (new) in a straight razor and gave me a shave. After that I got my hair colored, etc. (about an hour passed). The barber then picked up a razor and just used 5 strokes to tidy up my side burns. Here is the point of confusion. I'm not sure if he used the same razor that he used to shave me as the other razor had a blade that was used on some other customer before me.
For transmission, plenty of infectious fluid is needed to be exchanged inside the body, for which, a safety razor does not qualify.
However, for personal hygiene, and to prevent other contageous infections, it is always better to avoid anybody else's kits. You may use a different brand having different color to eliminate the risk of picking up the wrong razor inadvertently.
My concern is, earlier before meeting her I shaved my pubic hair and had some cuts on my shaft from the razor. I don’t believe the condom covered that area and for the sake of the information I’m seeking, let’s assume I entered her vagina and those cuts were not protected. Is the risk higher here vs any other protected encounter? I’ve searched the forum and other sites to see if this is an actual risk at all but couldn’t seem to find a straight answer, I would greatly appreciate some feedback!
You are most likely having an allergic reaction to whatever shaving cream or lotion you are applying to your legs, assuming you are using a safety razor. It is also possible that you do have extra-sensitive skin and the skin response is to mechanical irritation from the shaving device you are using. You might want to switch to a “non-allergenic” shaving cream/lotion product. On the mechanical side be sure to avoid using any razor that is not ultra-sharp.
Hi-I used a (used) safety razor at a golf course and cut myself. 10 Days later I had throbbing voluntary muscles throughout my body and a sinus issues. The sinus issue cleard up in two weeks, but the throbbing eased into a dull ache-particularly in my right biceps that I've had for 6 months, I was tested thoroughly for HVC (multiple antibody, PCR Qual) and HVB. All negative. My hepatologist has referred me to a neurologist saying the razor was just a coincidence.

Well I went to get my haircut and funnily enough before my cut a nearly bald women was getting a quick touch up and touch up with a straight non disposable razor, one of the big ones. I DO have fordyce spots and shaved my penile shaft for the first time 12 days ago (day after) and experience some razor burn along the shaft and the fordyce spots.
So, my questions are:
1. Herpes first outbreaks, usually occur in the 7-10 days after exposure, and are marked by sores and intense itching, NOT low grade razor burn / itching.
2. Since I've never shaven this area before, is it normal to have some razor burn on fordyce spots?

The razor was was used on other customers in the shop. Before he gave me a shave I think he sprayed the razor down with somekind of liquid and and then dried it off. Before he used the blade on my it was sitting on a towel for 15 mins. The blade has been used by several other customers.

I've been reading a lot online but cannot find anything closely related to the problem I'm experience.. I'm really hoping someone can help me figure out what's going on.
Almost every time after I have (unprotected) sex with my girfriend, I get small red bumps (~20-30) on my penis--mostly along the front and sides and lower foreskin-- as well as sometimes a few near my stomach and pubic hair. This has happened maybe 10 times.
I went to a barbershop and he used a straight razor for shaving my beard, he first applied a cream which i don't know what it exactly was and then he started shaving. Before he started shaving, the razor was in a sterizing machine but the lights of the machine were turned off and I'm afraid that it wasn't sterilized. At that time i saw no cuts but when i reached home after 10 minutes i saw tiny 2 or 3 tiny spots of blood on pimples.
On the end, barber corrected my back side of neck with used straight razor. 20-30 before me that razor be used on another man and probably many people before me. 2-3 later I checked my beck side of neck and don't notice any cut or blood (but not 100% sure), only one small pimple.
16 days after that (yesterday), I wake up with mild sore throat......
I am so scared and depresive, now...
Can I be infected? Do I have be tested for hepatitis b, c?

He used the scissors for the haircut, but when the barber was finishing the haircut, he used this tool to shave the back of my neck. It's not the tipical classic razor, but something like a "safe (?) razor" used to shave the back of the neck and finish the haircut.

A razor blade, not an electric razor within an hour prior? Yes, that ought to greatly up the risk from oral as a safety blade may have made one or more minute nicks in your skin (not enough to hurt or visibly bleed, but, leaving enough wounding for infected saliva to breach the skin barrier).
Eight weeks does sound long enough though (especially if that's the recommended period).
Turns out it was razor bumps but since i was picking at them n tryin to pop them i got them infected so they gave me some antibiotic but i did get some blood drawn for safety reasons n will know the results on those by next week
does hiv transmit through razor cut or through alum soap used in barbershopif yes than hiv comb kit test at ictc center in india after 8 week is sufficient which comes negative,does hiv rash comes 2 week after fever
This is probably a folliculitis or something since you shave. I recommend not shaving any more in the genital area until you've had this properly treated. Toss any razor or change the blade in your razor too so you aren't spreading bacteria around.

m just being my usual paranoid self but this is really eating me up alive. I had forgotten my shaving razor when I stayed at a hotel over 3 weekends ago. The hotel staff brought over a disposable one upon my request. Although not packaged (or sealed), the razor appeared to be new and I went ahead used it. I cut very easily when shaving and there was definitely blood from me in this instance.
something that looks like someone poked him with a needle so it not the typical cut a razor blade would cause but a poke kind of.
anyway, had the wife clean his lip really well and with alcohol etc....
common sense says he is fine as it wasnt something major . also i do clean my razor pretty ok after shaving but a worry is a worry and i cant help it.

I live with my bf who is positive hiv. Yesterday, he shaved by his straight razor and got cut then. He sent me the razor in order to cure his wound before. WHEN I RECEIVED HIS RAZOR,I WAS ACCIDENTALLY CUT BY ITS BLADE ON MY FINGER. It was just 30seconds after he got cut. I was not sure if there were his bloods on it. Just 30sec I thought hiv was not damaged by air.
He was afraid I might be infected because he didn't start any medicines. In this situation am I risk?
