Hi all.. I was wondering what my risk would be for sharing an electric razor with a high risk gay man. I used the razor DIRECTLY after him.. Stupid I know. We were dating at the time and he shaved then I shaved. I think there may have been some blood on the razor. Should I test after 3 months? Thanks all.
throw out the razor, don't take a chance! I threw my razor out and my toothbrush.

A razor blade, not an electric razor within an hour prior? Yes, that ought to greatly up the risk from oral as a safety blade may have made one or more minute nicks in your skin (not enough to hurt or visibly bleed, but, leaving enough wounding for infected saliva to breach the skin barrier).
Eight weeks does sound long enough though (especially if that's the recommended period).
If one doesn't shave on a regular basis, it's best to start out with an electric razor to get the bulk of the hair away. with some of those razors, you can get a really close cut that is very attractive also. you can see through the hair to the skin, I mean. The electric one also works well for further down. That's $5, please!
im going to shave my head clean to give it a fresh start, because right now it looks exactly like pubic hair, im using an electric hair clipper on 0, what i dont know is if this is enough or if i should actually grab a razor and shave it clean?

I went to a barbershop in Ukraine. I had a slightly big pimple on the back of neck and I squeezed it in the morning. It wasn't bleeding apparently but it seemed rather irritated and red. A few hours later, I went to a barbershop to get a haircut. The hairdresser was shaving with an electric razor and the electric razor touched the pimple when he was shaving that area.
Your boyfriend could be getting a rash/ friction burn from the stubble growth of your pubic hair... I recommend the frequent use of an electric shaver. It's too easy to get cut from a razor since it's hard to see what you're shaving. Plus, as vmvnpv correctly stated, the use of hair removal creams can cause severe chemical burns.

I itch sometimes after I shave and I also use an electronic razor. And yes it's perfectly fine to shave. It gets harder tho I'm 26+3 and I have to just feel around and hope for the best that I got it all Lol.

I had a baby 3 months ago and my skin is all out of wack. When I shave, I now get bumps all over my legs. I've changed razor blades, skin lotions, shaving lotions, soap, detergeant and dryer sheets. Also, if I exercise or shower, I get the same bumps on my body. I've gone to see a Dermotologists (who gave me **** medication), I also went to see a Specialists in Immunology and he recommended Alavert and nothing. He told me if could be a Thyroid problem or hormonal.
My daughter will be 10 in Nov. Her father (my ex) wants to buy her an electric razor for her birthday because he thinks her legs are too hairy. She has never said anything about her legs & seems to be comfortable with how she looks. I personally think 10 is too young to be shaving because I know once she does, she'll need to keep up with it. I told her dad I don't think it's a good idea & she'll let us know when it because an issue for her.
I have sensitive, fair skin and I normally shave with an electric razor for this reason. Last Sunday morning, it broke so I opted for a wet shave using an unused three-blade razor that looked to be of good quality that I found in the cabinet. Stupidly, I only realized after the fact that this was a women's razor intended for leg-shaving.
Within a few minutes of shaving, my face turned a deep red as if I had gotten a bad sunburn.

Thank you for your advice. Yes, I used an electric razor ...I couldn't see what was the problem with my arm . So I used an electric razor and once i saw the redness , it hurt upon the touch and I stopped shaving.
Back 6 months ago, I bought a new electric razor to shave my private area. When I completed I accidently cut my self since the razor was crappy quality from walmart. I thought nothing of it. The next day I broke out in a rash all of my genital area, I thought it was some type of razor burn, but weeks went by and the itching became uncomfortable. Went to a dermatologist and he was puzzled and can not figure out what it is???
Lol this is a worry of mine too. With my first I had planned to get waxed towards the end however my son decided to come early at 35wks and I was obviously not prepared but to be honest I didn't care once I was actually in there. This time I plan to keep on top of it but it's getting difficult. Like someone else said try an electric razor, it's bound to be easier than a normal razor. Other than that or your SO doing it, maybe try a wax?
I am concerned because earlier that day I had used an electric razor to cut my scrotum hair and accidentally snagged my skin in the razor causing 4 or 5 tiny holes on my scrotum. It bled a little but stopped after a minute or two. I had sex about 2 hours later...assuming she was infected what is the probability I contracted the HIV virus? She used water-based lubrication does that help? Sex only lasted a minute or so. Thanks for you help.
