t induce at night but feel sleepy at day time thus disturbing my working days.I want to start with Rozerem for inducing sleep.I wish to take this medication for a month or two and discontinue and get my sleep naturally as usual.Can the sleep disorder rebound after discontinuation? I've also been taking sertraline since many years,could these two drugs interact,if yes what are the effects?
Many medical professional are not very adept at preparing patients for the side effects and/or intervening before they worsen. I realize it is a 50-50 kind of thing and the patient should learn as much as possible beforehand - though as you pointed out, it is a tremendous body of knowledge and rather overwhelming for a layman (which is what I consider myself).
Probably because I hate swallowing tablets and have the sollutab version and have never had any side effects at all from it. May be a different tablet you are on about. If so I am sorry in advance. Just the name in your heading made me think of remeron. I might be even spelling it wrong as we don't call it that over it.

How are you? Medication side effects may or may not occur to patients. You were given pain medication, anti-inflammatory, antihistamine and antipsychotic/tranqulizer. You may experience gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting and sedative effects. However, it is important that any sign of allergic reaction such as difficulty of breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. twitching or tremor will warrant immediate attention. d give up and trying it just one night. Give more time, if you are able to handle the side effects. For me, I do sometimes feel tired and with headache following day, but not always. Trade-off for me as I, like you, cannot sleep.
I tried Ambien, but was very spacey (more than normal :)) the next day. And would sleep walk (and talk, and eat) with Ambien. But if it works for you? Maybe Lunesta.
I was on Seroquel for a short time. That stuff would absolutely knock me out.
Some natural remedies may be of some help as a sleep aide but some have some side effects of concern of their own. The natural remedy that is specifically helpful as a sleep aide is melatonin but Rozerem was derived from it and as an FDA approved medication is a safer option. Other natural remedies more have a calming effect. There is a specific forum for complementary medicine where people might have more information.
t tolerate it you can ask your psychiatrist about changing it. That might be what is causing the side effects you are concerned about. Its not meant for use every day but in being potentially addictive must be titrated off slowly under a psychiatrists's supervision. However, Lunesta or Rozerem can be used everyday by FDA guidelines and Rozerem is completely non addictive and works in the same manner as melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. I would ask about that as that is one option.
I agree with Rebbecca, it's a high dose to start with and those can be side effects. It can make you feel very out of it, and tired, have difficulty concentrating and retaining information as well as other side effects. It's also a medication that most drs monitor the blood levels of also, so you probably want to ask for blood work to make sure he has acceptable blood levels built up at this point, not to high and not too low.

sorry to hear your hubby is having a hard time. sounds like he is having some of the common side effects. There is nothing that can boost platlets but many docs let them go really low before lowering or stopping the meds. Try and get back on the full strength of interferon ASAP!
Probably the most common side effect is the itching. I have it as well and it is horrible. I have found some relief with a prescription med called Atarax.
Unfortunately, this is all trial and error, so this is something you're going to have to discuss with your psychiatrist. It's possible that you haven't found your med yet, as you're still this depressed. I'd also recommend if you're not already doing it to get into therapy with a psychologist and see if you can't actually cure this thing rather than treat the symptoms.
Has anyone tried taking rozerem to help sleep when tapering? I tried Abien a few years ago and it wired me all night. Last night, I took ,1 clonidine and 2 soma and I just knew that would put me to sleep and all it did was give me a big buzz and i was wired for a few hours.
I know I just need some sleep!
