t induce at night but feel sleepy at day time thus disturbing my working days.I want to start with Rozerem for inducing sleep.I wish to take this medication for a month or two and discontinue and get my sleep naturally as usual.Can the sleep disorder rebound after discontinuation? Yes at the time I was aware of one person who acquired it. From what it states on websites about this medication this is an extremely rare adverse side effect. t really what we worry about. What we worry about is the side effects and difficulty quitting a medication that alters the way the body works naturally. As this seems to be a newer drug, there probably isn't a lot of info yet on how people do with it long-term. Remember that antidepressants are not controlled substances but have pretty much the same difficulties when you try to stop taking them, depending on the person.
One good option you could ask your psychiatrist about is the medication Rozerem which works to adjust the sleep cycle and is safe and non addictive. There are other options as well but that's one worth asking about. Also it might be a simple matter of timing. If a medication keeps you awake at night you could ask your psychiatrist if you could take it earlier in the day and see if that helps. Discuss all this with them and see what they say.

I agree with Rebbecca, it's a high dose to start with and those can be side effects. It can make you feel very out of it, and tired, have difficulty concentrating and retaining information as well as other side effects. It's also a medication that most drs monitor the blood levels of also, so you probably want to ask for blood work to make sure he has acceptable blood levels built up at this point, not to high and not too low.
It appears to be similar in efficacy and like Ambien is meant for short term use only. Unless you've tried it Rozerem is one alternative that unlike Ambien or the medication you mentioned or Lunesta does not have a potential for a person to build up a tolerance to it and is an FDA approved medication that works like melatonin to adjust the sleep cycle. You could ask your psychiatrist about that.
d give up and trying it just one night. Give more time, if you are able to handle the side effects. For me, I do sometimes feel tired and with headache following day, but not always. Trade-off for me as I, like you, cannot sleep.
I tried Ambien, but was very spacey (more than normal :)) the next day. And would sleep walk (and talk, and eat) with Ambien. But if it works for you? Maybe Lunesta.
I was on Seroquel for a short time. That stuff would absolutely knock me out.
Since your panic attacks are happening less, are the headaches numerous and a reason that you cannot take the medication anymore? Or are some of the side effects okay with you now that your anxiety is much better?
What does your prescribing doctor say about this? Headaches can also be caused by an endless number of factors in my opinon. Are you getting enough sleep? Are you still under a lot of stress? The point is, that the headaches may not even be related to the medication itself.

You may experience gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting and sedative effects. However, it is important that any sign of allergic reaction such as difficulty of breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. twitching or tremor will warrant immediate attention.
