If you mean Levoxyl:
Generic Name - Levothyroxine - contains the same active ingredient as brand-name Synthroid and Levoxyl.
Chemical Name - active ingredient is synthetic crystalline L-3,3',5,5'-tetraiodothyronine sodium salt (Levothyroxine (T4) sodium).

If you go to good RX it does not list a generic for Levoxyl. Synthroid of course is levothyroxin as it’s generic. There Hass to be a difference between the two drugs, I was told to get off the medication and have awful insomnia when I was trying to switch between the two and had a dose increase and I’m highly sensitive to medications in general.

So a copy of a few of your tests would show if your sodium is low and potassium is low or high. The tablets I take are just sodium and are 1 gram so I get a big zap. My doc tells me to take one twice a day, and then as needed when I sweat etc.

What thyroid med has iodine in it? I've been on Synthroid, levo, cytomel, generic T3, and currently on Tirosint, with generic T3. To my knowledge, none of these meds have iodine in them.
I have been on Synthroid since that time and have been followed by an Endo. She told me to not take any generic form of Synthroid as it is not the same effect. She said she had had some patients who had a bad reaction to generic form of synthroid. My pharmacy filled my Synthroid Rx with Levothyroxin but I had them change it back. I know the generic is cheaper but afraid to change. I take 75 mcg per day. What is your opinion?
I want to know could be their any problem if a person who is using thyroxine sodium for treatment change to other one or from levothyroxine to thyroxine is changed, Could both of them any significant role in replacement. It may alter treatment process.
it goes under 13 other names such as autolyzed yeast.....know what sodium nitrate is....it is in every lunch meat out there.....sodium benzoate is in breads...breading...etc. Check you pH balance.
