requip

Avatar f tn It might be advisable for you to try to find other medications for your anxiety and your insomnia; several of the anti-anxiety and insomnia medications do make RLS worse, but others do not. Your episodes of waking up with several uncomfortable symptoms may be panic attacks, but there are several other possibilities. It sounds like you have several symptoms and problems related to sleep, and you might find benefit from evaluation at a Sleep Disorders Center.
Avatar n tn m totally becoming homeless and the doctors are trying to find me any relief. Requip and gapapintin is what I been on for years and other types including patches Nupro to little help and now Requip is to little help and a couple hours of sleep night after night I worry is this. I'm off work do to showing positive COVID-19 with that being said you see I'm battling some difficult things.
867787 tn?1318936230 Hi Dr. Park, I'm going to see a neurologist soon as my family doctor strongly suspects that I have MS. My problem is that I'm having terrible bouts with insomnia. I take Requip & Zanaflex nightly but they don't seem to help. The meds do help with restless legs & muscle spasms but I was told that they would help me sleep also. I wore a moniter all night while I slept but my results were ok. I have tried ambien & over the counter sleep aids & nothing seems to work.
Avatar f tn My current sleep doctor feels that Sinemet, a dopamine replacement, should be reserved for use after dopamine agonists such as Requip and Mirapex are no longer useful. I can give you a few hints on optimizing the effectiveness of your Sinemet rather than keep raising dose: No protein to eat unless long enough before dose for the food to have already passed thru the small intestine. Small amout of starchy food food can help when taking med, but no large amounts of food before taking the med.
Avatar m tn As you already know, it usually takes several weeks of the really nasty symptoms of acute withdrawal, followed by several months of just insomnia and general weakness and depression. A physician may be able to prescribe you some Neurontin (gabapentin) for general malaise, anxiety and muscle cramps, Requip for the restless leg syndrome and possibly something like Seroquel low dose for the insomnia.
Avatar n tn it felt like i rana 100k marathon and couldnt handle moving a second longer, but yet i couldnt stop moving and kicking it was horrendous, i would try taking a higher dose of a benzo(like the valium) cuz that helps a ton with the leg cramps, spasms, kicks, and so on..yes requip could help or lyrica, but you would need to get that from a doctor and that would be harder if you already have everything from the thomas rrecipe, the valium if def.
Avatar f tn meds are available for both sleep and rls.....read the Thomas Recipe and the Amino Acid Profile and follow them....they work. It wont be a bed of roses, but the bad part will take from 4-7 days of fluish symptoms and then get better and better.......ask more questions if you have them....magnesium/calcium and things can be added to bathwater to help with rls - and the supplements will also help. Some others are quite good at helping sleep issues.........

Avatar n tn It is supposed to be worse after long night without sinemet (requip 0.125 is given every other night and no significant distinguish between with and without it) Sinemet suppose to make motion better and it DID make her better before. Or Dyskinesia completely overridden others (but the Dyskinesia is happened in the jaw/tongue and I don't see any tremor in legs/feet) I tried to find a logic explanation, but no luck! Can this imply sinemet is no good for her anymore?
Avatar m tn As you already know, it usually takes several weeks of the really nasty symptoms of acute withdrawal, followed by several months of just insomnia and general weakness and depression. A physician may be able to prescribe you some Requip for the restless leg syndrome and possibly something like Seroquel low dose for the insomnia. The reason for this longer depression and insomnia symptoms is because Tramadol has an effect on the serotonin receptor in the central nervous system.

S/he may be able to prescribe you some Requip for the restless leg syndrome and possibly something like Seroquel low dose for the insomnia. Avatar m tn Symptoms usually start around 36 hours after stopping the drug since it is so long acting and binds receptors so strongly. Those acute withdrawals can last up to several weeks. The residual depression, insomnia and weakness may persist for months. A physician may be able to prescribe you some Requip for the restless leg syndrome, Neurontin for agitation and malaise, and possibly something like Seroquel low dose for the insomnia.
Avatar f tn Dear Kat, I do know that taking Requip itself can cause hallucinations. But he's been taken off it. Now, stopping Requip can cause confusion. So, I don't know what to make of it. I do recall when I had pneumonia, I was out of my mind, and I have never taken Requip. I suppose it's possible he's having a combination of fever hallucinations, left-over Requip hallucinations, and withdrawal confusion. Any way you look at it, he's having a very hard time.
Avatar n tn My numbers were okay and slightly high...went to mayo and was diagnosed with Restless Leg Syndrome, which has the same symptoms of uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Weight gain, fatigue, weakness, muscle pain, etc, etc. I am on a drug to increase my dopamine levels and after 5 nights on it, feel nearly 100% better. For everyone with hypo who's #'s are okay, you might want to explore a sleep disorder.

See if a doctor is able to prescribe you some Requip for the restless leg syndrome and possibly something like Seroquel low dose for the insomnia. I do think you should go on an SSRI antidepressant for at least a few months to cover the SSRI effects of the tramadol.

Treatment involves iron deficiency lookout and its treatment. Stop using caffeine and alcohol, and exercise to get adequate sleep may help. Avatar n tn I took requip for about five years - worked, no problem. Then about 4 months ago, I started getting, out of the blue and for no obvious reason, anorexia, nausea, and finally light stomach ache. After a lot of investigative stuff, including an EGD, my gastroenterologist discovered the cause: I had become allergic to requip. Just a note of caution.
Avatar f tn See if your doctor can write you a prescription for some Gabapentin for anxiety and general malaise, Requip for restlessness, some Flexeril or Soma for a few weeks for the muscle spasms and maybe some Seroquel low dose for sleep. It will make withdrawals easier. You can try ibuprofen 600mg if you have pain. Please don't start taking the opiates again as it will only throw you back into withdrawals once you stop again, or make you relapse.
Avatar m tn I was up all night last night with knee, hip, ankle, shoulder and even neck pain. I was tossing and turning in pain even after taking the Requip and an over the counter sleep aid. Even before the leg problem started, I had really bad insomnia. I was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, ADD etc. The only one I believe I have is ADD and the medicine I am on really helps me. I have a lot of abdominal pain. I have had ovarian cysts and kidney stones in the past.
514273 tn?1311609635 The plan was to always go CT from here. I only bought 3 Subs off the streets and threw away the person's contact info as soon as possible. Because of my addictive nature, it was the best course of action. It was a very restless night, but very manageable compared to previous attempts. I'm in the office and i can't keep my legs from shaking and these dang hot flashes and cold sweats keep coming and going.
Avatar f tn that only means 2 hours after I take thyroid, but I also read on synthroid list not to take calcium for 4 hrs after taking synthroid. I take one caplet in am and one in pm for calcium, and 600 mg calcium and 400 D.

Avatar n tn Trying to taper off and get off opiates, morphine and oxy. can clonidine be taken at the same time to help with not having as much of the opiates? and help with the withdrawls?
514273 tn?1311609635 I have Requip to deal with the RLS the first week. Which is fine, but I don't want to trade in one pill for another and so I stop taking it on Friday. I understand my leg still shakes at night and i'm okay with that, but the constant shaking during the day...any one has any remendy for this? I've visited the RLS website and they don't say anything about daytime shakes...
