I read that it can affect any arteries in the body with the carotid and renal the most common. Mine was affecting my legs and I am supposed to have another angiogram so they can take care of the right illiac.

Hi, I was diagnosed with renal artery stenosis last june out of the blue when my bp went up at a routine dental appt. I had normal bp and other values just that prior january (ekg, stress echo, carotid doppler, 24 hr bp monitor, holter monitor, cholesterol was a bit high 245). I did not want to go on meds, so I begged for a renin-aldosterone test and the aldosterone was up, so they did a renal doppler which showed a blocked in the left renal artery that was very severe.
I am trying to go on the web to see if there is anywhere in Asia which has renal dialysi for dogs.. but really in vain. Right now I am looking after her myself, similarly she is a little tired but still alert and wagging her tail.. obviously vomits occasionally..
Only about 1 week ago she seemed so normal...

By "AGE" I'm assuming you mean a persons age in years. I don't believe age has anything to do with Janumet's "effectiveness" but age has a larger role with renal function. To make it clear for other readers, Janumet is combination of two drugs; Sitagiptin and Metformin.

We have a puppy diagnosed with early renal failure. He is currently on Hills LD diet. (KD isn't recommended for growing puppies; our vet asked Hills what we should feed and they said LD has reduced protein, easily digestible.)
He likes this well enough to eat it, but not well enough to use for training treats. Do any of you know of small, chewy, low protein, low phosphorus treats?

The results of my renal ultrasound which was done in October of 2009 state: left kidney measures 10.0 cm in lenght and contains a 2.1 x 1.3 x 1.2 cm hypoechoic left mid renal lesion containing internal septation and low level internal echogenicity. This does not represent a simple cyst. No other lesion is identified. There is no hydronephrosis or calculus. A CT or MRI was recommended for further assessment.
The past 1-2 yrs have had more bladder control problems. Have been worked up several times and determined I am at stage 4 renal failure. I am now listed for kidney transplant and have been doing peritoneal dialysis for last 4 months. Recently my pelvic florr has weakened and I hav enow uterine prolapse PLUSS other things dropping. Possible facing colon-rectum surgery???? This is beyond anything I was ever tole to expect. Any ideas?
The condition is of clinical importance when renal surgery is contemplated or during collection of renal or adrenal venous samples. The normal left renal vein passes anterior to the aorta, to enter the inferior vena cava. Sometimes the left renal vein is duplicated, with both an anterior and posterior component. This gives rise to the circumaortic renal vein.
