Today I got the Rebif kit with the injector and all the specifications , well I guess today i'll be reading to find out a little bit more. I'm new around here but I really like it becasue there's a ton of information that any MS patient could find really usefull. I will probably have some new doubts about Rebif once i get the first shot and I really hope find some answers here . Thanks!
Avatar f tn May be it is due to antibodies or any hormonal changes, me not confirmed about that. Should I travel to U.K or Canada , what are the international standards for syphilis?
Avatar f tn could help with a disability claim. I have a betaseron kit and a rebif kit, which I was urged to research. I'll follow up in December, at which time we will discuss my options. He highly recommends that I begin treatment and explained that today's treatment will be my hope ten years from now. Opinions, experiences, advice, wisdom . . . all coveted. Please share.
1176499 tn?1272680055 Am starting on rebif and I guess the doctor faxed the prescription to the MS life-lines program. it has been at least a week. I have reeived the welcome kit and a call that said to return the phone call however when i call I seem to be on hold every time for 30 plus minutes waiting and then noone has any info or "its too soon" My question is..how long did it take for people to get a call about starting therapy and actually get the meds delivered and get started.

When asked what days of the week I'd like to schedule my regular injections, I decided on Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday as opposed to Monday/Wednesday/Friday... I want my Fridays and Saturdays off, dammit! God-forbid this MS thing keeps me home from a party. (I actually can't remember the last time I went to a party, but ya never know!

470613 tn?1207312671 Hi all, I have been on Rebif for about 18 months now and it makes me constantly feel like ****, sorry for the expression! What I mean is I just never feel normal. I came off it for 2 months in Jan to try for a baby, I have never felt so great, I had a relapse after 6 wks so my neuro said trying for another child was a bad idea for me and my family, so I went back on the Rebif. I was just thinking should I try another dmd to see if it makes me feel better or are they all gonna be the same?
10751701 tn?1412528159 SydB I took for rebif for over 7 years and did a lot of traveling for work. Rebif provided me with a travel case that had a spot for the rx (I cut out from the box with prescribing info) a compartment with an ice pack, and a compartment for the medicine, autoinjector, most the time it went through security without being questioned. The only time it was opened and inspected was on an international flight. Call them and I'm sure they will send you similar.
1981227 tn?1336328438 Hi All, Sorry if this topic has already been covered but I was wondering about travel insurance if you have MS? It's a pre existing condition which would mean the coverage I buy might not be valid with most companies. My husband and I are planning a trip to japan early next year but I really want to get travel insurance due to my MS. Does anyone have any good suggestions on companies in the US that might cover me??
Avatar f tn It has been a little bit since I have chimed in with my two cents or questions. Since I last posted I have started Rebif and am on day 1 of week 4, 22mg injections. So far so good on that. I have some side effects but nothing unmanageable other than I hate the Click of the auto injector, lol. Symptom wise I continue to do better everyday and can now even jog a little, though slightly awkward.
5485096 tn?1375574235 Copaxone since June 2008 after an unsuccessful 8 or 10 week try with Rebif. The latter drove my liver enzymes up and I never even made it up to the full dose. I had picked Rebif mainly due to the lesser frequency of injections, but I don't actually mind the Copaxone daily. In fact i think I'm less likely to forget a shot when I do it every day rather than trying to keep track of whether I did one yesterday or the day before. I've had one very mild IPIR in five years.
Avatar f tn d already check through urine pregnancy test kit but the result came out negative. if im really pregnant, i already in 2nd trimester n my baby already 13weeks. but since i still confuse wether im pregnant or not i still do sports n go for travel. i dont know.
422172 tn?1215990852 When I was dx'ed last fall my neuro gave me info on 3 studies: Rebif New Formulation vs placebo; efficacy of combining Avonex and Copaxone; and a natural history study, as an adjunct to the Avonex/Copaxone study. I declined all of them as I live about 450 kms from the research facility and being in a study involves monthly follow ups. Winter was around the corner, I was overwhelmed by my dx, and did not want to make a commitment to be doing all that travel.
Avatar n tn could you please advise me as to what this means? I will be meeting my doctor in a few weeks time due to travel.. but would like to know what i can do in the mean time. ps: i am really desperate to lose weight and inches!
Avatar f tn It is very difficult to make any plans for this weekend or a vacation on these meds but if its important it is usually doable. My NP just tells me to buy travel Ins. in case you need to cancel. My tip is to watch out for the sun and as YuK said you need to keep the needle at the correct temp.
Avatar f tn My diaper bag has bottles, diapers, outfits, wipes, small med kit, changing pad, diaper rash cream, blanket, formula divider and pacifiers
Avatar m tn I have MS and have been taking Rebif foe 7 years. It has worked very well. I just learned that my current drug insurance plan from Humana will not cover Rebif in 2015. What plans cover at least some of the Rebif cost? My copay with Humana was about $300 per month. Would like not to exceed this amount.
Avatar f tn Yes, I am on rebif for 11 months and must take advil liquid gels To stave off headache fever that wakes me up!
