She is at that weight conscientious age, so if her weight gain is causing her any distress and frustration, i definitely think you should bring this to the attention of her neurologist to see what can be done to help the situation. Cheers........

I was put into the secondary progressive group and am not sure what they will put me on. I heard copaxane makes you gain weight and leaves hard bumps on your legs. Vain, yes I know. So if anyone would be so kind as to share their experiences, I would greatly appreciate it.

I was on Rebif for a while, and, yes, I did gain a few pounds, and, yes, in the list of side effects in the tiny print that came with it, weight gain was one of the side effects to tell your doctor about.

t wait to have one for real (must wait a while to find out if Rebif agrees with my liver) but for now, the make-believe kind will do. Is it as sunny and warm in Edmonton today as it is here 'up north'?

They were high, so at that point my neuro instructed me to go off all meds and supplements, and no alcohol, stayed on Rebif and they remained high when test was repeated. Went off Rebif, stayed off other meds and alcohol, they returned to normal, and remained so after I started other meds again and consumed alcohol again. This is how we could be certain it was Rebif causing the prolem.

Hi beeama! I don't know what the instances of anemia and interferons are, but if you've not taken any supplements, and then go off the rebif for a week or two, then re-run the labs and they check out good you very well could be affected. It is the docs responsibility to order the labs, but have found too I have to remember to ask for the script for labs. Since it was 6 months ago - they should be run again for good measure.

Hi there, Sorry for your diagnosis. The side affects mentioned in the literature can and do happen. I'm a Rebif user for 3 years now and do very well. My site reactions are just a warm (to touch) pink about the size of a silver dollar. I inject straight up without the autoinjector but I many people use the auto and it works very well for them. Like all meds it's important to weigh out the benefits and risks.

Let us know how you make out and what if anything you think Rebif may have to do with this. I start Rebif next week and am keeping fingers crossed that it doesn't disagree with me. Another thought --- have you tried calling the Rebif patient support program to tell them about the hives? Perhaps they have heard from other patients with the same problem? Good luck to you.

I have been taking Rebif on and off for the last five years. I did pause for a bit to try Copaxone (sp) and I myself personally hated it. My body seems to prefer Interferons and flu like symptoms. I did go for a year without taking any injections because I thought I was too cool for that. So I am back on.

I have been on rebif 44 for 9 weeks. Two weeks ago I started biting my lip. I noticed that my jaw is jerking which makes me bite my lip. Also started biting tongue. It is like my tongue does not know where it is. Does anyone else have this problem. I am taking the rebif for ms.

I don't want to play doctor here or anything, but I was in a similar situation for several years. My apartment got broken into, then I moved home, and then my house literally got hit by lightening. I started taking lexapro for the Post-Traumatic Stress. I'd always been a bit of a snacker and stress-eater, but I a burdensome amount of weight from it. I asked my doctor about other alternatives to the Lexapro, and she suggested Welbutrin.

I have been on rebif for 9 months -and have not had any of the problems you describe, and in my reading up on rebif, I think the symptoms you describe are not usual side affects, but we're all different! I assume your neuro has been checking your blood for liver problems since you started rebif. I wonder if it would be worth discussing the possibility (if your blood work all comes back OK) of going off the rebif and trying another MS drug to see if that helped with all your problems?

How did you end up with Rebif? And what kind of allergic reaction did you have? And they are certain it is the drug? I hope that you find the answers that you are looking for. This is the time in your life more than ever that you should be eating healthy and exercising regularly. Expect to gain weight ; that is healthy and necessary for most women, but if the gain happens too quickly you MUST Work with your OB to ensure that you are as healthy as possible. I would really listen to Alaysha's advice personally.. She's a model and one of the most stunning pregnant women I've ever seen, so I'd follow her rules for healthy weight gain personally lol.
