593603 tn?1229378162 the only i could find online, says to let your dr know you have/are taking it....the key ingredient, ranitidine, can be passed through breastmilk..... most dr's give you a list of "approved OTC meds", and most of them show what can be taken at different stages of pregnancy.....idk if prilosec has been "ok'd", HOWEVER i do know that for normal people, it can cause huge stomach issues, so def stay away from that!!!!!
Avatar m tn You could try some OTC acid reflux meds to start with. I would suggest something with ranitidine or omeprazole. You can take both of them. omeprazole should be taken early in the day to mid afternoon and the ranitidine works best at night. If these don't work, ask your doctor for spirometry or methocholine chalenge. If they do work, you should ask your dr for an endoscope to check for lessions in the esopagus because of the long time you have had the symptoms. Feel better.

The only thing covered by my insurance is Ranitidine - which I take twice a day. About 2 years ago, I had to see the doctor because of dysphagia, constant post nasal drip / clearing my throat, etc. She said that I had aspirated some stomach acid and it had burned my throat.

Get your gallbladder checked. It could be stones or the pre-stone formation. It made me sick as a dog too especially when eating fatty foods.
