I also went to the doc for a lump on my inner left buttock. The doc prescribed my antibiotics and ranitidine. I took the antibiotics and the lump/bump went away, but I never took the ranitidine. About one week ago, I drank some beer and as I drank the beer my stomach started hurting, but I kept drinking (a lot). The next day my stomach started hurting bad! I had a sharp pain and super nauseous. I had a bowel movement (diarrhea) and my stomach feel better.
Take some OTC antacid like Mylanta. You can also take zantac(ranitidine)or prilosec (omeprazole).These will help. Also keep your fluid electrolyte balance optimum by drinking lots of fluids.
If the symptoms worsen then it may be due to H.Pylori infection. You need antibiotics in that case after prescription from a physician.

Have a sensitive stomach and get burning pains especially if food has chilly or is strong in acid. Ranitidine has helped but from time to time suffer missing hearbeats. Having given up the drug for a while things improved but stomach started to suffer again and thus the reason to re-start the drug.

Deepending on how bad your GERD is, the combination is quite common. I take ranitidine and Dexilant (also a PPI). For break through reflux, I take Mylanta or Rolaids. I have also been diagnosed with bile reflux and take a fourth medication for that.
It is best to manage GERD with diet and life style changes if you can. I also take a digestive enzyme and probiotic. I took a double dose of the probiotic for about 2 - 3 months a while back after taking a lot of antibiotics.
I had developed gastritis last september due to excessive intake of antibiotics as i developed stomach flu prior to gastritis. the doctor prescibed acidity tablets for a month. i was feeling ok for a few months then suddenly i developed nausea a week ago and the doctor prescibed tinidizole with acidity tablets. i took for 3 days along with my homeopathy medicine but i still feel heaviness in my head when i lie down so im not able to sleep. kindly advice me what to do.
For over a month now I have been suffering from stomach pain, nausea, a bit of gas and bloating, and food tasting really weird/gross. I've been taking prescribed antacids for it and lots of generic tums. A similar thing like this occurred a month ago, however, my stomach only hurt when I touched the very lower portion of it then. I have the lump in throat feeling, too. I am scheduled for my first endoscopy next month. I have had GERD for many years. I had bad experiences with the PPI's and Zantac (Ranitidine) isn't the least bit helpful. I am careful with my diet, but I still get this feeling in my throat and the pain right below the sternum. I rarely get heartburn from my foods any more, because I am watching very carefully what I eat.
I was diagnosed with GERD and given omeprazole which never really helped worked and now im trying ranitidine instead. my symptoms began after a year of monthly tonsillitis which i was on antibiotics for each occasion - after this ended i began getting nausea and it has steadily gotten worse. I have literally no social life because even when i feel reasonably well im too nervous to go out and i do suffer from anxiety because of it.
Yes, GERD too is another possibility. You can give ranitidine and see if this helps. I would suggest an ENT examination at the time when your son is having these symptoms.

ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?
About a year ago I developed what I thought was the flu. I went to the dr. Who gave me antibiotics. It went away for a few days but then came back. My symptoms were running nose, nasal drainage down my throat filling my lungs with gunk, and subsequent cough. After 3 more trips to my family Dr. and three more, and different antibiotics, I demanded something was wrong and I'm not taking any more antibiotics. I went to see an ENT and he said it was my deviated septum causing the problems.
you could try looking up those drugs online and see what they say about hurting baby. i can tell you that buscopan is a muscle relaxant and that that shouldn't hurt your future baby. i have been on ranitidine, still have some i think. but i had heart palpitations with it. but i am really glad to hear its working for you. because of my experience with it i would definitely suggest talking to your doctor about it.
but my main suggestion would be sort things out with your body first.
Zantac Ranitidine (150mg), antacid zellox-II, Zecuf, antibiotic (cephalexin), paracetamol, and cough syrup. This is when problem occurred. I started to experience soft light yellow stool (very little as i didn't eat much), diarrhea (>3 times, little too) , indigestion, nausea, and bloat. Now, two years later my gastritis symptoms have come back (heartburn and nausea), and I read somewhere that I can take omeprazole AND ranitidine on the same day (but not the same time) so I've been taking the 20 mg Omeprazole in the am before breakfast and a 75mg ranitidine in the pm before dinner, which has worked quiet well.
I am 32 female has been healthy, I never smoked, Dr says that I have Bronchitis and had prescipted antibiotics and I am under a 3 day rest since yesterday, I have been like that for weeks, this is my second or third day with antibiotics but still I am spitting mucus. Any idea? I had colitis few years ago and some stomachal infections.
I’ve been having cramps and major bloating feelings super emotional but no period. I am on a low dose of Zoloft and ranitidine for acid reflux but that has never interrupted anything. I was also on antibiotics and Tylenol with codeine for some tooth issues about 2 weeks ago but I’m finished with that. I just feel bloated and look huge. If anyone has any suggestions of what this could be besides pregnancy. How much longer should I wait? The month is almost over.

From the reading I've done, there's no benefit of taking ranitidine for EBV when mononucleosis is active, therefore, I can see no benefit of it 15 yrs later, either.
To verify the side effects were caused by the ranitidine I would stop for a few weeks and use TUMS instead. I repeated this cycle several times. The symptoms would go away each time I was off the ranitidine for a week or so. I also noticed when taking TUMS that I only need to take less than one tablet for it to be effective (say about 500 mg /day. Occasionally 750mg). One question I have is would it be better to only take Tums instead - even if I need to use ~500mg each day?
Because of my remote location, a trip to the ENT was very expensive and I declined to go. Eventually it did clear up and heal and go away, and I went on with my life.
Fast forward to last week, I've been feeling a bit stressed and noticed my heart burn and IBS acting up a bit. I did basically nothing for it, hoping it would just go away. The post nasal drip / throat clearing and dysphagia started again a few days ago.
my husband is experiencing some strange and rather disgusting symptoms. he is 32 years old. Last night he was complaining of stomach upset(MINOR) when he woke up he had developed what I can only describe as mouth gas. VERY smelly belches. also severe diarhea. He says it feels like his stomach keeps building up with air. He has no appetite. any ideas what this may be, and how to get rid of it?
