Avatar f tn These drugs are believed to possess similar abuse potentials. Ramelteon (Rozerem), works differently in the body to treat insomnia. It is not considered to be a controlled substance. Zolpidem (Ambien) and eszopiclone (Lunesta) have been shown to reduce the time until sleep occurs and increase total sleep time. The sleep induced by them resembles natural sleep. Avatar f tn Hello, dear fellow members, I was diagnosed last week with Inv Duct Carc and DCIS. All I know so far is that I will need a mast, rt side. The Dr explained the 3 reconstruction options and, at first, I was convinced that I'd prefer the Lat Flap. I am an equestrian professional and need lots of core/ab strength and balance so don't think the TRAM is for me (neither does the Dr). But after reading about the lat flap, I'm not sure that's a good option either.
Avatar f tn The pain is now in my entire left leg, left shoulder and arm along with headaches on the left side of my head and neck. My profession is equestrian/trainer and it has become increasingly more difficult to work with the horses. When I ride if I ride for over two hours I am in tears! I used to ride for 8-12 hours in a day. I am afraid and do not have any answers. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn Specifically, the delayed sleep phase syndrome. He prescribed Ramelteon to help her fall asleep at night. So far, the sleeping pill seems to work but in a subtle way. If she does not prep herself for sleep, sleep will not come. It has gotten so bad that she cannot remember the last time she slept and felt rested. There is a bit more to it then just a sleeping problem. I am not sure if this is related to it but she has laps of time where she can't remember specifically what she did.
Avatar f tn Most drs do not allow it due to the many possibilities of accident. Even those who are equestrian and well experienced can not predict a spook or fall. You can continue to work with them as long as your body is used to the physical nature of the work. Until you no longer feel up to it. I have made my choice simply not worth any risk. Discuss it with your dr to get further thoughts. Some woman continue riding until mounting/unmounting becomes to difficult.
Avatar f tn I'm 30wks6days and I'm still working out, nothing too heavy, I'm an equestrian vaulter, meaning i do gymnastics on horseback. But my doctor advised not to do too much with ab work, for example tiny crunches to help with back pain and strengthening different muscles to prepare for labor, but not lifting to where you're using your abs, just barely past your shoulders off the ground.

767237 tn?1332640177 I use to take lexapro and clonazepam for the last 6 years. Pdoc said I should've never been on the lexapro because it was making me rapid cyscle, Now I take 25 mg of Lamictal (can't go up because pdoc is saying that it's making me manic), 50 mg of Seroquel, 900mg of Lithium and 1 mg of clonazapam. I actually use to have to take 3 mg of clonaz but I think the seroquel is making me not need it as much.
Avatar f tn My 18 year old daughter was almost totally resistant to the repeated rounds of SoluMedrol (5 days each time), so in the last two months, she has been hospitalized twice for PLEX (also called TPE, or Therapeutic Plasma Exchange). Each time, a Shiley catheter was implanted in her right internal jugular vein (neck), and she received 7 every other day Plasma Exchange. The first round in October, she had spectacular recovery, but that only lasted for 2.5 weeks.
649848 tn?1534633700 Good morning, everyone. I hope you've all got a good day in process. We were lucky enough to get some rain last night (0.69") - not a lot, but when you need it, every little bit helps. I'm hoping that my plants will start getting green again, since many of them are turning brown from being too dry. It's been a pretty quiet week, so I've had time to get in plenty of calligraphy practice, along with a few other things.
574118 tn?1305135284 My lamictal was 2mg infantile and was working well until i had seizure with paxil. So each time i take a new drug i never reacvh what is called a therapeutic level. Why should i, if already my therapeutic level is so low instead of ruining my liver,... Could this apply to lithium as well, i.e. should i hope to shove swallow a 100mg say only or because the mechanism is different here that i should in any case reach at least 800 to start with.
Avatar f tn I'm a 17 year old female equestrian wanting to get rid of as much fat as possible. I have 1600 calories lost days but 300 other days and exercise for about an hour a day. What can I do to achieve maximum fat burning?
Avatar f tn Oh the edema (seeking) is causing pain and pressure as well as that residual bruising poor thing! I also am thinkng the decreased mobility can make you stiff and cause ligament pain. The greater trochanter is the ball in socket joint bone ...those are pretty serious injuries and you're not an equestrian or not but runner you didn't fall on a bicycle? Any trauma that you can think of?

Avatar f tn The treatment of chronic hepatitis B has improved dramatically in recent years thanks to new antiviral drugs, but efforts to develop a therapeutic vaccine have largely ended in disappointment. Recent casualties among therapeutic HBV vaccines include GlobeImmune's GI 13020/GS-4774 which failed a Phase II trial causing partner Gilead to terminate a license for the candidate last November.
