Is anyone aware of any Phase III trials coming up soon? Also are there less exclusions in a Phase III study?

This information is no longer relevant. People are currently treating with the two drugs and a phase III trial will be starting soon to get FDA approval for the treatment that is now being used off-label.

Are these the first protease inhibitors that have ever made it as far as Phase III trials? I've been reading as always and I came across a story stating this information, but it was one of those sites where you have to pay $29.95 if you want access to the full text, so I said I don't think so.lol Anyone?

Does anybody know of a clinical trial for HCV genotype 1b that has made it to phase III or IV? Where can I get such information?

I also learned that R1626 will not make it to Phase III. Although it is very effective at high doses, it is too toxic in combination with peg/riba. It might be looked at down the road either as a mono therapy or in combination with a protease inhibitor.

None of the med docs here except Dr. Hagan has the III as it is part of his name. He is, I am assuming, the third John C. Hagan in his family. So, the III has nothing to do w/ any medical degree/certification or organizational affiliation.
