provigil

398059 tn?1447945633 I know that Provigil today. It is nice to have good nsurance again. I hope it will give me some energy again. Not sure but, I seem to have had more energy to day already after only one pill. But, that might have been my hopes more than the medication. Anyone else have a memory of their first dose and energy effects. How about the first week?
649926 tn?1297657780 Hi shell & Elaine thanks for your posts! I hope that more people find time and find this post. I would really love to have advice from my friends and their experience before going to the doctor. At least I have 1 medicine to ask about so far.
968560 tn?1307451498 Has anyone talked to their doc about using didrex for fatigue, memory and loss of attention?
1842804 tn?1319756311 what meds did you try for that? As it is often connected with fatigue, my neuro gave me provigil (didn't really work for me and gave me awful headaches when weaning off) and ratilin (slightly better but also ends with headache). It seems most of meds I take give me headaches (I also have migraines). Are there any other medications for that? It's very annoying not to be able to stay focused for any extended period of time. As usual thank you for any suggestions!
20003388 tn?1515166040 So, for years now I have suffered from extreme fatigue and brain fog/memory issues. I had my testosterone and thyroid checked, both were low. I on now on thyroid meds and testosterone replacement but it hasn't made a dent in my fatigue and brain fog despite my levels being optimal now. I do have sleep apnea and use a CPAP at night but my numbers there are also optimal. Caffeine, and most stimulants, make the fatigue worse.
Avatar f tn Hello, I am wondering if anybody has a suggestion of medications that work to help with memory problems associated with SCT that will not cause more memory problems or possible brain damage with long term use?
429700 tn?1308007823 I was wondering--have any of you been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder (ADD)? I was quite surprised when my neuro diagnosed me with this last week. I think it's related to my MS, but not sure (dummy me didn't think to ask). He told me that Provigil actually helps with this problem and raised my dosage a bit. The cognitive stuff has improved greatly since taking Provigil, but if it would go away completely, I don't think I'd mind one bit!
Avatar f tn For about the last 6 months I have been experiencing fatigue, dizziness (unsteady on my feet), memory loss (mostly short-term), fogginess, inability to handle stress, can't handle too much stimulus, head pressure) I presently take thyroid medicine for hypothyroidism and iron for low iron. My endocrinologist drew blood and my numbers are fine. My physician has done several blood checks on sugar, kidney function, etc. All is coming back normal.
Avatar m tn I tend to take a very long time to fall asleep, wake often during the night (sometimes sweating a lot), sometimes barely sleep at all and don't feel as sleepy as I do during the day, and during a recent sleep study the sleep tech came in to check on me because my heart rate was so high, and I think this is common for me.
1740498 tn?1328962585 Whatever had gone to the nurse and I had agreed to cover the class. At that moment, the memory was there, and I still remember all of that. However, there have been other times that someone told me about a conversation we had had, and I did not remember even when they told me what I had said. This does not happen often (I think!), and it has never been about anything serious. Has anyone else experienced this? If you are thinking menopause or similar, I am pretty young for that.
3191241 tn?1345032381 Is urination hesitation a common symptom? this is what makes me think i might have something more wrong. i have a bad memory but if i remember correctly i thought this usually happens with MS patients.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed at the end of Nov and probably about a month ago I started having cognitive problems....short term memory issues....confusion.....losing myself in the middle of a conversation....etc.... Last Thurs I was at work trying to explain a procedure when all of a sudden I felt like I just woke up in the middle of the conversation....I knew I was talking but wasn't sure what I was saying....I was so scared and embarassed because, who knows, I could have been saying anything.....
Avatar n tn hey guys. has anyone ever heard of,or taken provigil? kristens lupus doctor prescribed her provigil for the constant fatigue being that it is the most debilitating of all her symtoms minus the depression and anxiety which is becoing controlled with the treatent facility that she is in. i read a lot about it and it said that it was much less likely for it to be addictive. also, it doesnt work from the nervous system so it wont make her really jittery.
Avatar n tn I still feel pressure in my temples and forhead even though I have stopped taking Provigil. Can you have withdraws from Provigil?
5509293 tn?1428531475 This is my first day on Provigil, taking 200 mg this morning. This is an attempt to replace Adderall 15 to 30 mg per day. Provigil walloped my blood pressure. It dropped by 10 points when I check 12 hours after taking the first dose. I've been lethargic most of today. I finally took an Adderall so I could function.
401095 tn?1351391770 Is anyone familiar with the drug provigil or monafinil for enery and depression...? It is a drug for narcolepsy....wakes me up but not sure about use during tapering tabs...
390916 tn?1204840470 Has anyone tried ProVigil? My sleep specialist suggested that I try it for the deep tiredness that I experience, even after getting great help with sleep from my CPAP machine. By the way, my trip to Seattle went very well. Though it is indeed very hilly, the cooler weather and low humidity made it easier to get around than here is muggy Baltimore. The weather seems to have a huge impact on this disease.
518001 tn?1212419235 Is anyone taking Provigil? Has it helped you? What does it help? Do you have any side effects from it? I'm going to try it, after I get my results back from my next set of MRIs. Does it make the tremors worse? Thank you!
1088527 tn?1425313375 I started taking provigil yesterday and wow I cant believe the energy I scrubbed the shower down washed the cabinets down went food shopping then took dog to dog park for 4 hours then home and dinner usually just one of these activities wipes me out . I am glad that I have energy but I feel jittery my legs feel like they are going hundred miles and hour and I am stuttering badly in the am I think I am trying to talk faster then I can get it out.
565254 tn?1224716453 I am currently taking provigil for my fatigue. The pharmacy had to order it so I was out for a few days. During those days I have been headache free. It seems that my headache has come back since I started taking it again. It isn't as bad as a normal one but it is enough to be irritating. I am curious as to whether anyone else has had this issue and if so did it go away after a while. It has really helped the fatigue but I would hate to think that the daily headaches are back.
Avatar f tn s been an issue with me for more than 10 years, but the last 2 months I was really bad and just being awake for more than 5 hours wore me out. He prescribed Provigil and I've read some of the threads on it and it sounds very promising. My question is, is it something you can take daily indefinitely? Or are you supposed to just take it when you need it (which would be daily for me!) I hope my insurance will cover it because I'm not diagnosed with ms or anything.
Avatar f tn I dont know if this is accurate or not, but I thought it should be shared. I just read this in the "Health" Section of Foxnews.com I have heard a lot of really good things about Provigil, although I've never used it. It was recommended to me many times though. Just some food for thought. Seems EVERYTHING comes with its own set of dangers attached.
619930 tn?1260374254 I am in week 42 of tx and my trial doc prescribed 100 mg of Provigil to help with my fatigue (he can't/won't prescribe procrit). My hgb was at 9.4 as of last Friday after being in the mid 10's for a while. I am sleeping "ok" at night with Ambien CR, but have been getting close to worthless (mentally and physically) as far as work goes the past few weeks. I'm wondering if this will really help or possibily aggravate my dizziness from stairs and mild exertion.
Avatar m tn A decent GP would be the place to start ..... provigil is actually indicated for treatment of CFS .......... Its an expensive drug at 10.00 a pill prescription.....lots of insurance companies dont wish to cover it for that reason...... but it is being widely used now - - it will most likely be rescheduled before long because it has more of the shortcomings that straight amphetamines have than was thought during trials........
Avatar f tn on the addictions forum someone brought up the topic provigil for energy, i have been clean for a while now but i have hep so my energy level is very low, and i also have under active thyroid so my question is this, when i researced this new drug i found """PROVIGIL is a federally controlled substance (C-IV) because it has the potential to be abused or lead to dependence. Please use PROVIGIL only as directed and keep in a safe place to prevent misuse and abuse.
